So I am thinking of doing a shoot with the model wrapped up with caution tape, covered in fake blood on all fours with a sheet of glass resting on her back (ya know like that stupid coffee table shot) and posing with a guitar that gives her an implied.

What other lame props should I include?

I'm gonna quote what I say in my bio here and suggest you take any or all the things I've mentioned and include them:

"And I'm also really rabidly against doing any photos where you ask me to wear wings, or lay across a railroad track, or lie in a tub of fake blood..unless your idea has a really unusual twist."

Edit:  Tim, how about putting a bathtub full of blood on the tracks with the angel wings on the tub?  (lol!)

I've always been of the opinion it's not about the prop(s), but in the execution.  Cliche'd isn't in the elements, it's in the use of the elements.  But maybe that's just me.

More lame props than already mentioned? Is that possible? Well I certainly hope you'll have a belt wrapped around her breasts (on top of the caution tape of course). Can she also be wearing a Santa hat? And a carpenter's tool belt?

she needs a pile of M&M's or Skittles in her crotch
plus one finger to her lips
maybe a belt around her boobs
maximize the gaussian blur
and some toy cars driving across her "terrain"
or better yet, do all this crap suggested above to a male model.....

The young lady in my avatar and I are planning an implied behind a guitar photo. She is in a band and we'll be using her favorite guitar, so the photo will make sense to those who know her.

I had an speech team coach that would intentionally not inform new people about what was clique, in hopes that they unknowingly might see things in a fresh light and unknowlingly twist it on it's side.

I'll agree with whom ever said it before. The object isn't lame. It's how you use it that is.

Sweet more cliche threads big_smile

I'm going to shoot a girl on railroad tracks wrapped in caution tape in a parka with gas mask and angel wings with one arm covering one breast and electrical tape covering the other underneath a belt in those big ass sunglasses on a moterbike with a snake that has fake blood and vampire fangs with something on fire!  And since it's Christmas throw in a santa hat, some fake snow and a bow on her head, and throw some glitter and tinsle and rose pettals around for good show smile

no more taking pictures at all it's too cliché and no more modeling and makeup artist or anything else, it's been done before over and over and over again....*sigh* there's no point. And no more lighting either used to much.
