"We safely may trust to its gleaming leggings..." is clearly what he was thinking of :) Nabokov makes reference to this poem in a movie script he wrote for Kubric; just a little "degrees of separation" trivia as we can't be VISUAL art nerds all the time, sometimes we have to be LANGUAGE arts nerds :)
