January 02, 2018 9:10pm OK... here we go! First of all, what's the purpose of a portfolio? Many, many photographers here on MM seem to think it's a place to showcase all their work. A portfolio SHOULD be a carefully curated collection of images with the purpose of showing potential clients (or models) that you're a great photographer.... someone with whom they should choose to hire (work with). Thus, you need to be your OWN critic. Just because you CAN (MM lets you) add LOTS of images to your portfolio here, doesn't mean that you SHOULD. You should only display images that are your BEST work. I'm not sure about this one. It seems to be slightly out-of-focus (look at his necklace, it's not crisp) and the lighting on his face is harsh and uneven. You're proud of having been able to photograph this fit model, I understand that... but this photo could have been better?
