June 30, 2021 11:43am Thanks for your kind words. I originally used the "LIFE" masthead. Moderators saw it, deleted it for "copyright infringement" and threatened me with removal from MM if I reposted. I think it was a bit much. An homage to Life, on a modelling site no one gives a toss about is doing nothing to harm their reputation or bottom line. It’s a classy photo EXACTLY of the same sort used by them in WWII. The one with the Rosie the Riveter looking model and the aircraft engine is the best of the series in my opinion. I still use the Life ones in my Instagram. The would-be publisher's slogan at the bottom of each cover speaks for itself.
June 30, 2021 5:45am This series is amazing. I've actually done something the same using a model to recreate a famous LIFE cover of Grace Kelly. I even recreated and dropped in the LIFE masthead. A truly great magazine and your photography does it justice!
