December 29, 2008 2:19am So much style, character, and humour in this shot (and the whole series). I love the contrast between the "serious" character (books, suit, tie, etc) and the "sensual" one (cake, sly expression, clingy provocative clothes), and trust you to play the sensual one ... ;) The effect is well enhanced by the central standing lamp, which makes a beautiful prop as well. In fact, all of the props are excellent, and really add to the atmosphere, as does the simple but aesthetically pleasing backdrop. I must also spare some praise for the way this colour shot has excluded all primary colours but red: it really gives it the atmosphere of tinted film stock or early technicolor, thus making it seem like a scene from some classic, surreal film.
