About Me

My name is Rikena and I am a makeup artist/educator. My company is Uptown Beauty, I offer make-up  styling. Beauty and Special effects. I'm intrested in meeting new models, wordrobe stylists and photographers to work on new projects. Please contact me if you're interested.

During the past 12 years as a make up artist, I have learned to be resourceful and preserving. At age 8, I gained an interest in the exciting possibilities of the beauty industry. I acquired a scholarship to the world famous Make up Designory (MUD). It was there that my talents flourished. I did all phases of make-up  for private clients, fashion, film and print. As I felt the need to advance, I begin to freelance and assist for an agency, becoming a busy make-up artist for film, fashion and print. When assisting work at the agency dissolved, I focused on freelancing full-time. I began doing my own P.R. and management. As an artist , I have been requested and privately hired for print, fashion and film. I have an eye for classic beauty and am an innovative make-up artist. I specialize in clean, natural and glamor make-up. I am based out of New York and San Francisco.
