About Me

I work in oils, mostly. I am in search of a gallery or clients interested in purchasing my art or peer feedback to help me grow. I am evolving as an artist. I thought I'd concentrate on the dress for awhile and explore the various ways in which dresses and their forms represent femininity: the absence of it, the fullness of it, the celebration of it (as in the red dress painting...it's almost as if the dress is celebrating), the contemplative form (as in the blue dress painting).

I'm also painting roots right now.

Formerly, I have worked as an stylist's assistant through Creative Workforce Agency and as a stylist for the magazine Modern Salon. I also studied design at Fashion Institute of Technology for a year and studied photography at School of Visual Arts in NYC and anatomy at Arts Students League.

I also do photography and mosaic tile work. I write and teach English/creative writing for a living and hold an MA in poetry and a Ph.D in creative nonfiction.
