My name is Lisa and I'm a professional belly dancer-turned-model - in other words, trouble with a capital "T!" Right now, corporate life is calling and I'm taking a vacation from performing. I'm still looking to update my promotional portfolio with occasional dance shoots, though.
I created this MM account as an offshoot of my main page, so I can catalog my more exotic themed costuming, poses, props and makeup separately from the mainstream fashion and glamour that makes up the bulk of my modeling work. At the end of the day, not all glamour photogs love my Emans as much as I do, nor do all dance aficionados necessarily care to see my Maxim-style work.
That being said, I still hold all of my dance imagery to the highest of high-fashion standards. That means:
1. Everything must be top-notch professional quality. Great lighting, studio or a really cool location, excellent PP work....you know the drill.
2. Cheeseball poses in front of a black backdrop are the ultimate bellydance photo cliche. So are hookah pipes, Persian rugs and harem budoir fantasies. Let's bypass the 1960's Port Said album covers, please.
3. My costumes are the sleek, minimalistic, curve-hugging style that's up-to-the-minute in Cairo. Don't ask "Where's the fringe?" or "Why aren't you wearing any bangles?" unless you want a lecture about bellydance fashion!
4. All my dance images must be slick, sexy and fashionable enough to stand alone in Vanity Fair.
My ultimate goal is to use the results of any of our collaborations in future promotional materials, i.e. websites, business cards, posters, etc.
