Is anyone else on MM worried that there are people signing up to this site just so they can browse through profiles and find nude photos?

I trust in the honor among photographers and models not to steal someone else's work, but I'm sure there are a few untrustworthy people who just signed up to get off looking at naked women.  I saw a profile today with photos that I'm certain were lifted off a porn sight as examples of the persons 'work'.  Don't get me wrong, shooting porn is a legitimate job, but I'm certain this member had nothing to do with the pictures he presented as his.

Does this worry anyone else?  And what can we do about it really?

There's nekkid women here??  Where?!? :-)

I'm sure there are lots of other sites where those fishing for pics of naked people can find them. I wouldn't worry about here any more than any other place on the internet where a photographer displays his/her work.

There are assholes everywhere.

Why are you wasting your time? If you want nude photos just go to google image search and enter "nude" and you'll get 293,283,271 nude photos.

I saw a profile today with photos that I'm certain were lifted off a porn sight as examples of the persons 'work'.

There are always gonna be losers out there who do that. Just ignore 'em and they'll go away.

How would that be different than any other modeling/photography/art related website? You're going to get the sleazeballs along w/ the legits.

I know I'm not the norm here, but a major motivation for my work is the idea of helping people "get off."  If someone nicks my work for that reason, I take it as a compliment, frankly.

Here's my question:

Why do you care?

Image theft is image theft and it's bad, of course. But who cares what the image is *of?* If it's not yours, don't take it. The way you phrase your question makes me think you have something against the idea of people looking through naked pictures for some unapproved purpose. And to that I say again, "What do you care?"

Maybe I'm missing something, but I haven't found any non-hot ones on MM yet. Could that be a search parameter?

I read somewhere on CNN, or other news site that the Feds are cracking down on Adult sites by way of having them prove that their stuff is legitimate, i.e. models over 18 and model released with photo I.D. There is more coming down the pike (heard from a couple a birds in law enforcement), which just might address your concerns.

Me too! though there are some pretty hot guys too...and not all of them are gay! I like this site because it allows full frontal for both sexes...

Clearly, this statment is directed towards me personally and I do appreciate the compliment. I'm not even a model!

But I am working on my own "Blue Steel" and "Ferarri" and "LeTirge."

Hey...I just checked out my full frontal boy site...and his penis is no longer posted...self censorship, or private warning? I am disappointed. So sick of just naked girls. There is nothing wrong with showing boy anatomy. We are so wierd with the double standard!

Hey, I would never ask a man to remove his penis. That would just be "wrong."

Why would this worry anyone?  If someone posts the images, that person wants someone to look at them... They are there for a reason...  Why should it bother anyone what another person, a perfect stranger, is looking at?  I fail to understand...

As far as stealing the images... well, that's big no-no...

I believe a certain modeling site or two on the internet is going to be cracked down on myself. The good people who run this site should include something mentioning the law concerning nude photos and the requirement  people can prove the model was of age.

I would heed any photographer who has done nudes and not covered that base. Cover your bases and your A@#es

I was a member of another site who doesn't listen...to anything except the cash being deposited into the account. They had a suggestion box of sorts , but most likely does the same amount of good it does in a fast food chain.

I had to get my little dig in........
