No, it's just fine.

It seems like something that could be awkward, but if everyone involved is professional, you'll be surprised at how natural it is.

What did the photographer say, he wanted to "shoot"  I want it to be very erotic, but not porn. What questions should I ask?

It depends on the chemistry.

Some models I've worked with, we were awesome together, some it was awkward.

If you're uncertain, try playing around with other models who you are already friends with first. And no, you probably won't have good chemistry with an SO on camera - unless you're really lucky.

Ask the photographer to send you some sample images of pictures that match his/her vision. You send him/her some as well. Compare ideas.

I model for fun, so I can not really invest too much time in traveling.  Though visiting Detroit in the winter has always been a dream of mine! :-)

I looking for a edgy, erotic, dark sexy, wet , dirty, sultry shoot. Not Naked pretty people in a studio. I do not think most photographers can pull that off.  Any Photographer recomendations?

I have done a few erotic shoots with couples, both with 2 women and with a male/female. The male female shooots were real life couple, so they were very comfortable with each other, and they pretty much did anything and everything for the shoot. The female couples shoots were all models who met each other the day of the shoot. 2 out of the 3 female couples shoots were great - the models clicked instantly and the results were very erotic. With one of the shoots I almost felt like I should have left the room, they got so into it.

As you mentioned, it does require some work on the photographer's part to balance that fine line between porn and heavt eroticism, though of course that is very, very subjective. The photographer needs to have a clear idea of what he wants to capture, and needs to be very respectful of everyone. If everyone is clear on the limits, it makes it comfortable for everyone.

I've shot a few times, with other nude models. It helps if you can meet them before the shoot. That way you chat about ideas, personal limits, etc. And,personally for me makes it a bit less akward for shooting.
Here's a photographer I've shot with.We shot a series of couples shots with a female model.None of them are ready yet. But,to me he puts a dark twist to his photos.

I hope this helps.

This is something I'm looking to do as well - but not so erotic - more about shape and power and protection and well almost like the feeling you get when fitting together two jigsaw pieces, only a hundred times more powerful. There are some beautiful "jigsaw pieces" out there, but I feel that the nature of the human race is all about interaction - the richer images I see have the model either interacting with the viewer, or with someone else in the frame - not necessariy looking at them, but interacting in one way or another, through body language, for example. Hard to put into words.

How I see it (and I guess it's maybe different from the photographers POV) is that it's just like posing nude (or undertaking a nude shoot) for the first time. Nerve racking as hell before-hand but after, you wonder what all the fuss was about.

The awkward part, from my point of view, is finding a couple who will potentially be able to make that connection - without actually "knowing" either of them! I'm actually finding it easier finding a girl who has my look and asking her to ask around for a suitable male associate, then running him past me.

all the best,
   Guy

Most of my work is strange....best thing i can say is, be very open and clear when talking to the photographer. Before you both get to the location there should be no questions.

From a photographer's point of view that was the hardest shoot I ever attempted. I can't even explain why, it was just very hard. Best o' luck to ya.

Many photographers have done shoots that fit what you are looking to do.

Sometimes there will be more or less realism in a shoot, but ultimately chemistry between models will certainly help.

Screw the professionalism.

Pick a good photographer who you know the results will be in the style you want.......then go expecting to have fun.  These shoots always turn out best when there's a lot of sexually charged energy in the air and when the two models involved actually DO want to attack each other.  If you go in scared and afraid to break decorum then the results will most likely seem forced.

Just go have fun.

The key to success is that the models are comfortable with each other.  They need to blend rather than upstage each other.  And, in my opinion, they need to complement each other in physical size and body form.  There are SO many poses that can be done once the models relax and get into the mood of the shoot.

^^^yea people who already know each other are best. When i shot London Andrews and Kimberly Marvel, they were already good friends who had worked together before so they knew each others boundaries and how to work well. Got some amazing shots. i need to clear out my portfolio to add more of them in it actually.

More than half my models ask to pose with another female.  My problem is getting two such models to show up on the same day and time.

I put out a casting to shoot nude with another female model...it took me almost a year to get someone to agree to it...

I mean, I had a lot of models that "wanted" to, but then they disappeared.

I personally love working with other female models. It's a different kind of energy and it's fun.

Deep Exposure of Spain and I really like Rodney Mickle of Washington, DC. He doesn't do dirty but his photos are plenty erotic and pretty, too. I haven't modeled for him personally, as I am a male, but his port is great.
