And I will even go as far as saying that in some shots, the models NOT having pubic hair takes away from (ruins) the shot. The problem is that when some models that shave, it leaves razor burn, stubble, or they don't shave regularly and you get a few days' growth....all things that can be very distracting and off-putting in an artistic image, IMO. These are all reasons I prefer women not to shave (trimming is fine, of course). Now I'm not opposed to models shaving completely--some do a good job and leave things very smooth. But that doesn't necessarily mean I want to shoot that area and show everything. It doesn't always make for a good photo. If a model has hair, it looks more natural, to me, regardless of how that area is displayed in a shot. As an example: (18+) I asked for all 3 models to not shave, but only one of them preferred not to shave, so I had to work around that with the other 2 models, and in some cases, ended up with shots that were unusable because one model had hair and the others didn't. Some might say I should've gotten 3 models that all shaved, but as I described earlier, I don't necessarily prefer that look for artistic images and like to leave a *little* to the imagination and not just throw it out there for all to see. Today, for example, I was posing in contorted, open-leg poses for an artist for 3 hours. Having a bush covers your bits, and gives a natural "shadow" when genitals are not supposed to be the focus. I think I gave a poor old woman a minor stroke in Kansas when I showed up to a class shaved and posed like I usually do. I highly recommend using her if you are in need of the natural look.
