I wanted so badly to share photos of my lovely OCD kit organizing skills, but its actually shameful how little product I have right now.

My palettes are practically running on empty.

Damn rent being so high. I need to replenish and stop spending my precious kit fees on mcdonalds. LMAO

Man, do I have to get out there and find some organizers...all the containers you guys have...you're so lucky you live in a MAJOR METROPOLIS...the shopping must be amazing.  I'm jealous!

Does anyone have any links for ONLINE container and palette stuff?  ANY links would be appreciated!

Thanks so much for everyone taking pics and the time to share everything with us.

MUFE use to make the Flash palette, before it was called Flash and just in the "Grease Paints" category.... in a pocket-sized clear acryllic box, double sided that opened up with an acryllic center divider. It's sizing was about the size two Altoid boxes stacked on top of eachother would be. The edging of the pallet was rounded off. It was very attractive and small, held exactly the same amount of product as the pallettes you guys have. I wish they still made it.

Just a little FYI for no apparent reason but boredom.

PS - yyyyeeea, so I just got me one of those Wacom tablets and I've been doodling/writing over everything. I hope you can read it, hehe.

Ok Sian, you have totally inspired me to PURGE my kit, once again. I have a label maker that I need to break out again and i SERIOUSLY need to purse my eye shadows and lipglosses. I had so much fun reading your descriptions!!

Where can I get those lunchbox things?

I love it as always did from the first kit you showed.
I'm creating my kit simmilarly to yours, I used to have it all on the metal train case plus the set bag with pockets outside; but as I started upgrading it, things got too tight and with difficulty of fitting all in, despite the heaviness it was becoming to be carried just by hand. So now I got a Heys too, different pink-more like purplish (purple is my fav color).
I need to take the pics and will post them soon.
Now that I have this MU kit all good, I'm looking forward to organizing and storing my hair kit with products and appliances and how to carry it.
Do you have any ideas about this one? smile

I just got a 3 piece set of the Heys XL series luggage (pink).  I am using the 2 largest suitcases.  The big one (30 inch i think)  I have my 2 Art Bin Hip Roof Boxes one for foundations-blushes and lipsticks and the other carrys my eye makeup.  It also fits my brush case which I customized to fit my many, many brushes.

The second suitcase carries my 2 set bags which are from Michaels-one for hair stuff and the other one for set up incidentals-cleanser-moisturizer. etc.
Then I put each of those bags in a very large zip lock bag for transporting so the stuff doesn't fall out when it gets tipped up to transport in the suitcase.

I will take some pics when I get a chance.  I know I am still carrying way to much stuff but I am a makeup junkie. LOL

But since taking those pictures, I've upgraded from two MUFE palettes to three, and most likely four by the end of the summer.

It so nice to see everyone sharing smile rock on people !!

Wow, Mandy you are a master organizer!
How on earth do you carry that monster case? I don't see any wheels.
I have more than one wheeled case but even then occasionally have to carry them a short distance - like when you're in a multi story building with no elevator or recently here in Toronto when I had to run for the GO train;I had 2 large cases with me and had to go down a short flight of stairs then up another to get to the other side of the tracks! Whew! That was fun, ..... I made it though.

Thanks for the GLAD press N Seal advice - sounds like a great idea. I hate it when my colours start socializing with each other.

Thank you smile I try to be as organized as possible, this way I can work better smile
My monster box has little built in wheels and a carry part i just poped it off for the picutes smile the smaller black monster box is small enough to throw over my shoulder  i have a great padded shoulder strap smile and I have build straong muscles hauling it around too smile
I should right a fitness book, "to build better arm and shoulder muscles carry ONE loaded make-up case around your city, through public transit and up and down stairs"  hehehehe
I am glad to share my Gald press n seal tick it was shared with me by a great make-up artist and I like to pass on great ideas smile

No Sian, I think its a lighter pink-more of a powder pink.  Still working on customizeing the whole kit and lightening the load.

I have read this thread very carefully and it help me so much while building my kit (still am).

I live in Paris, France, and I found that in Muji stores (japanese design, I dont know if there is some in the states) there is tons of empty bottles, sprays, pill boxes and pallets. They are rather cheap (from 1.5$ to 4) and very handy! I am addicted to muji now.

Kit Revamping and pics (posted on another thread but thought I would keep it here too for those interested

Stanley Tool Bag with Wheels bought at Target for $34

This is ALL I bring with me on every shoot now. If I know I am going to something specific I can switch it up a bit and once I get using my airbrush I will probably need to leave some things out or carry another bag but for now I LOVE THIS. It seems so small but it fits all the things on outside in pics below (by the way it had a horrible STANLEY plastic emblem on front that I just ripped off.

HAHHA..I don't carry it all..I put what I need into a small box and one set type bag with compartments

I was reading this site as my early morning fun time ... and felt like I wanted to join in on showing everyone my makeup too ... however, I was embarrassed that I have SO MUCH STUFF ... and didn't want to appear like I'm just a makeup freakshow instead of a real striving artist .. but then ... Lottie (my nick name a long time ago growing up) comes out here and busts is out and I was GIDDY WITH EXCITEMENT!! OH MY GOD!!!

It was like every picture was more and more and THE PALETTES OF SHADOWS ... I'm serious ... I was freaking out because I've always been concerned that I have too much .. and this showed me .. I never can HEHE.

Where did you find your NARS palettes for the blush? It's the ONE issue I have with the NARS blush ... I need palettes badly for them.

Hugs girls ... I will get my case photographed tomorrow and display them proudly for you to see .. it's such fun the organization we all tend to use. I have to do hair too on probably 95% of the shoots I do so I have an entire case for the hair supplies too. Thankfully I am in the midwest and can drive to my locations otherwise ... I'd probably have a golf cart or a slave person to carry my stuff.

Happy Makeup!

I'm building mine up, it's just such a friggin massive investment. I've been building up over the last few years, for work with touring bands and live entertainment (drag shows, burlesque revues and go-go  dancers)

I really loved the different flash colors on MUFE, I'm going to splurge here really soon.

Thank you all for sharing!
