ikonas wrote: As they say, your port is as good as your worst image. I'll help you get rid of it This is a gentle, constructive criticism so I will highlight your strong points as well. LESS IS MORE - One of the easiest way to bring your portfolio to the next level is to delete your weaker images. Consider your portfolio your art gallery where you want to show only your very best work. Post only your star images. Don’t let your viewer play treasure hunt by having to sort through volumes of marginal images to find your gems. Prior to responding, I carefully review your port AND your profile, as my intent is to provide thoughtful, constructive criticism. I will evaluate your port based on the following consideration: _____________________________________________________________ [1] AVOID VARIANT IMAGES Posting multiple similar images from the same scene is the number one sin in poorly constructed ports. Decide which one you like and stick to it. Don't let the viewer chose for you because he will judge you by the worst one. [2] DELETE IMAGES WITH POOR POSE OR EXPRESSION By far, most images are ruined by uninteresting expression or contrived pose. ♦ Get rid of those images where you are just smiling with no unique concept behind ♦ Delete poses where it looks obvious it is a contrived pose [3] AVOID COLLAGES AND COMPOSITES These are usually detriment to your port for couple of reasons. Once again, people will judge the collage by its worst image, not by its best. Furthermore, the thumbnail of the composite does not show enough detail to invite a visitor in. An exception in using collage would be for a retouch artist to show before and after effect. [4] LISTEN TO YOUR AUDIENCE Get rid of all images which have been sitting there for months having received only one or two comments. Even delete an image that got say 10 comments if it was viewed over 1,000 times. A 100 to 1 view-to-comment ratio is a hint the image is marginal. [5] AVOID CLICHE THEMES ♦ Railroad scenes, Images with Guitar, Car, or Caution tape is a sign that the photographer is not an original thinker ♦ Blood, gory stuff are negative themes. You want a viewer to walk away with a good feeling not disgust ♦ Too many images with large boobs make the viewer conclude you have a one-track mind ♦ Open crotch photos. They definitely devalue your port [6] AVOID POSTING TOO MANY IMAGES OF THE SAME MODEL It is YOUR port, not your model's. Show some diversity. If you are an inexperienced photographer just starting out it may be a challenge to find models willing to work on TFCD basis. Invest in your hobby and hire an experienced model or two. [7] MALE MODELS AVOID ♦ Baring your chest. Unless you have an amazing physique, you have no chance of competing against the multitude of hulks lurking on MM ♦ Underwear shots, all male genital shots Stellar guidance for self critique! Please take a look ... feedback always welcome

Believe me it adds NOTHING to your port. Leave some to our imagination and your port quality will go way up. I like the following for great POV and expression

I see that you are on a great start here. I propose deleting two images: 1. Even though your face looks beautiful, this image is rather unflattering to your belly. Also it seems a bit overphotoshopped. 2. This one could be great to send to your mom, but your cute smiling expression is not something to put in a prfoessional portfolio. In general, as you are advancing your port, avoid images with smiling expressions. Experiment with a variety of emotions. This image projects your natural beauty, displaying both your nice figure (and flat stomach) as well as your beautiful face offering a relaxed expression. Your goal should be to shoot with more photographers in different styles. Best of luck and enjoy!

Additionally there is a weird dotted pattern over your body that I find disturbing: Additionally you ought to remove images that a a variant of the same shoot. Believe me, less is more. This one is a great captivating portrait

I have advised you (see page 11 of this thread) to remove the following nude image as you offer similar expression in several other photos from the same stairell scene which are better composed. But you did not listen, which is perfectly Ok, but I would love your feedback. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/28609838# Furthermore you should remove your recently posted image as the model is not you so it is very confusing what you are trying to accomplish here. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30041348

I have a forum going now on this exact theme... trying to make some cuts to the ol' portfolio. Curious which photos YOU personally think are my weakest, and could stand to be forgotten. ~Dae~

Dae Daniels wrote: I have a forum going now on this exact theme... trying to make some cuts to the ol' portfolio. Curious which photos YOU personally think are my weakest, and could stand to be forgotten. ~Dae~ It is rather a challenging task to identify your "weakest" image as your port is diverse, the photography is good and ALL your images are sensuously captivating with creative element to back them up. Of the 7 rules I posted on page 1 of this thread you are not violating any except part of rule [5] "Open crotch photos". My opinion is that these devalue one's port. I prefer images that leave some to the imagination. Specifically about your butt shot, I don’t think this seems to be your strongest asset (pun intended), or maybe the photographer has not taken the best angle. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/11209287 Here I see some creativity but again think whether you want your port to head in this direction. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30007788 If your main goal is to get lots of comments, you are going to get plenty of them, albeit low quality one-liners from aroused males. I value comments coming from females (who are apt to weigh art and beauty above eroticism) or if the photographer commenting is a competent one. As hard as it is to choose your worst it is difficult to choose the favorite as there are plenty. Here I love your face, expression, amazing curves and the latex https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/22718327 Doll-like pose https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/20189864 Great light and captivating beauty Please feel free to comment on what I just said as I would love to hear your feedback.
