Pawn Stars is scripted, and hardly true "reality" so this could be just a ploy to get some publicity for Suicide Girls.
It's funny that it is FOX NEWS reporting this as if ... she did something terrible in the past? Well people, Pawn Stars is a majorly popular TV show in which all those scenes are scripted before being shot and edited. The characters on the show are acting. They make a salary by contract far greater than they would if they worked for real at a real Pawn Shop ... because of the TV shows success! You watch ... some how her firing is going to be worked into the script, and/or it will be used as promotional value to Suicide Girls which has not had it's name out there in a long while. It's all a manufactured story. At least that's my thinking ....

The jokes really do write themselves, don't they? Jon Stewart could do an entire show just on this one article...and still have 20 minutes worth of material left for Colbert!

I'm very skeptical that SG images had anything to do with her "firing." These are actors on a scripted show. It was probably a contract dispute or she complained about her lack of camera time...or, more likely, it's a PR move.
I highly doubt this girl was an employee prior to any plans for the setting to become a show. They needed to compete with all the other scripted shows that had the token "hottie" (which is every single one of them) because their ratings were falling.
This will either get resolved and she'll be back with more on-air time. Or they'll plug in another model/actress to take her place.
On another note, how SHOULD we describe SG? Isn't it categorized as soft-core porn? I don't know why that's seen as so offensive. There are various levels within the "porn" moniker. No, it's not hardcore xxx, but I have no problem seeing it referred to as soft-corn porn.

Weird... just weird! Maybe it's been forever since I've been subjected to anything SG-related (thus my ignorance) but isn't the content (at least the video content) more than just nude posing? I thought there was masturbatory and implied insertion as part of those. I think of SG similar to late night Cinemax. It's certainly more erotic than a Playboy pictorial and I've heard media describe Playboy as soft-core (which is absurd to me).

You guys do tend to forget that this IS an actual working pawn shop, aside from anything you see on the show. I drive by the place all the time and it's turned into a real tourist destination where people want to get their photos taken outside by the marquee. Inside, it's a regular pawn shop where they do have real employees and they do actually buy and sell different items. As for Olivia though, her REAL reasons for being fired are still unknown and the speculation that she was fired for being a Suicide Girl is just one possibility. Nevada is a Right To Work state so they could have fired her for any reason but for all we know, perhaps she wasn't good at her job. Perhaps she showed up late all the time. Perhaps she got caught taking long lunch breaks. Perhaps she was paying too much for gold watches. Who knows. The truth is it really doesn't matter but now she's trying to milk the last ounce of her "stardom" that she has left before she immediately fades into obscurity.
Just to clear the air on the whole "scripted" thing though, most of these reality shows are definitely scripted but not because the show is fake, they do it for ease of shooting. At some point they have to mic up everyone on the show and taping every single person that walks in would be an insane budget for production crews. No, what happens is they have taping days, where it's announced to the locals here in Vegas that you can bring in your stuff to hopefully get on the show. On those days you'll usually see a line outside the store running north on Las Vegas Blvd. with hundreds of people holding their little treasures. It spans several hours and producers take notes on which items might be good for the show, which people might look or act the best on camera, etc. Those people are then called back on a later date with their item for a taping and possible appearance on an episode. This way they know in advance which "expert" they need to call to the store and it's all organized and efficient. Every patron who makes it on the show gets paid a pre set amount of money for their appearance, whether or not their item gets bought by the store or not, which is how they get the people to come back, etc.
So while it is very organized, it's not like everyone is actually reading from a script. There's no real way to do this kind of show otherwise and keep it manageable.
Now, as for other reality shows, most (but not all of them) are fake. I'd say over 95% of them are and it's usually the ones you wouldn't suspect that are fake, are really very fake. America's Got Talent is about as "real" as the show Operation Repo, which is 100% fake. No part of Operation Repo is real at all and neither is AGT. I actually know two different people who were paid to go on Americas Got Talent just so they could be cut at a later round in the show. Pathetic.
But some of the "reality" shows are actually real because they have no need to make them fake. Cops, for example is pretty much the real deal, same with Jailhouse and Vegas Strip, the production company's other two shows. I should know because I shoot stills for them. When we do a stop on Vegas Strip, what you see is what you get. I almost wished that I could say that the antics of people they arrest are fake but in this city, nothing really shocks me anymore of what drunk people do. The thing I always find amazing when we go on the shoots for those shows is how some people find it a badge of honor getting on them. I remember about a year ago, we were doing a taping of prostitution stings over at the Cosmopolitan hotel. One of the girls we busted was a hooker with priors and several warrants so here we were in an alley by the hotel. She's face-down on a cop car with their lights flashing away for all to see and her hands are cuffed behind her. They have her purse on the hood of the car and the police are pulling everything out of it. Her condoms, her bag of weed, her cheap makeup, the works. So as I'm getting photos of this spectacle, one of the producers of the show walks up to her and asks if she can sign a release to be on Vegas Strip. She lights up and says, "YEAH, YOU BET" and she signs the release from her handcuffed hands, face still on the car. Classic.

Drunk: Dude, just stop being a jerk and let me cross the other side. Can't you see my friends are waiting for me?
Cop: No, I'm giving you your punishment right now. Cross the street to where you came from then go use the crosswalk. It's either that or a citation.
Drunk: Why are you hassling me like this? You're being totally unfair and an asshole. Just let me go meet my friends already!
Cop: OK, that was your last chance. Let's see your ID...
So the guy reaches for his wallet and when he pulls it out of his back pocket, a bag of pot falls on the ground. The police run his ID and find out he has priors for drug possession and has three warrants out for a variety of different crimes out of different states. After he stopped crying for being arrested he told us that he was in a hurry to get to his hotel because he called up for a hooker to come by from one of the local escort agencies (evidence of this is in his pocket...see photo below) and he wanted to get there before she did. Now, because of his stupidity, he was caught and was now going to jail.
So I asked the cops how often this sort of thing happens and they told me almost every night. There really isn't a reason to fake shows like Cops or Vegas Strip. The difficult part is choosing which of the many hundreds of great clips we shoot to use for the actual show. Here's the guy getting busted...
