IIRC, we have had this topic come up in SF2 in the past, and I found it very surprising how many people did have such a strong dislike for it. Hearing it makes me smile Moist makes me think of delicious dinners and divine desserts

All the females my brother hangs around (including his girlfriend) hate that word. I have no feelings toward it

Yeah, it makes me think of yummy cake, good sex, dewy skin & warm baths. I don't understand how people get negative associations with the word "moist." I think it's great!

Depends on the context. I hate moist tents, but I love moist muffins!

Really hate when it's used towards sex. Then again I hate talking about sex. Why talk? Just do it. If you have to talk then you ain't doing it.

If it's referring to sex... no. Just no. Other than that whatever.

I don't understand the hate. I think it's kind of a decadent word, which I like. I'm also a fan of "slather."

I don't know why people go down on those words so much and give them such a hard time. One of the beauties of our language is the ability to communicate feelings, emotions, sensations, experiences, and things like that. Life should be enjoyed.

I wasn't aware there was an issue? It's just a descriptive word, people.

I personally love the word. Cake can be moist, and delicious. Lips can be moist and soft, and... Very descriptive, and makes me think dirty things, a lot of times. No clue why people don't like it.

Precisely I wish I could remember the threads we had years ago though, where there were some people who were strongly expressing their dislike of anyone saying moist. I'm sorry, it is very emotive and makes me

My main complaint about store-made and even box-made brownies is many are too moist. I like them more on the cakey side.

Anyone else have a flashback to a TV show of a few years ago called 'Dead Like Me' The mom hated 'moist' as well.
