I am a simple man with simple needs.

A Point and Shoot would do.

https://img1.lesnumeriques.com/news/30/30336/leica-vario-x-3_4.jpg

The World's first Point and Shoot with an APSc sized sensor.

... and a flash sync speed of 1/2000th sec (for anybody who cares.)

(and note those crooked eyelets!)

Waiting for you here:

We will see how good that Pentax 645z is. Might grab one.

My next planned purchase is 4 PCB Einsteins.

Probably the Sigma 85 f/1.4 ART lens if its sharpness numbers are as good as Nikon's.

If for nothing more than to be able to tune the AF in that lens that should make it better than the Nikon that doesn't allow me to do so, only their techs which can be an iffy proposition and downtime to do so.  Plus, the issue of it acting different on another body where it might need to be re-adjusted for that body too.

Nikon needs to provide something similar for their own lenses, imho.  Sigma got smart.  They can lower the cost of the lens since they will sell the dock for $60 and leave all the warranty focus nonsense and bench work to the owner.  Nikon has to pay a tech to fix it, and then doubtful they will spend all the time to do so either.

I'll be rebuilding my gear from the ground up. Not sure what direction i am going but leaning toward staying with what I know and have enjoyed. An E-M1 and a few lenses.  smile

Me too if it ever actually comes out. Been hearing about it for 2 years now. Hope they used those two years to make it damn near perfect.

If, by some strange miracle, it's a 1.3 crop then I'm all over it like white on rice.

A new speedlight after 3 years of heavy use a new/backup would be great.

Probably the new pro body from Sony when it is released and starts shipping.

I'd love to try the new Tamron 150-600mm, but they have been backordered since like April (lame)

I'd love to have a medium format, probably an RZ, but I'd take a Hassy if need be.

Could use a new scanner... and a Fuji X-T1

and if Nikon ever gets off their ass, a new professional spec DX body.

Probably buy another couple of Alien Bees to replace the ones I had to sell a while back when the hard time fairy came to visit. And an 85 1.4D Nikkor lens.

Most likely:

A 135mm 1:1 Macro lens (when Nikon makes one - comparable to their current 105)
A Mola Sollo (with grid) - 28" will fit in the backseat so perfectly (and the high output interior!) and I want to start doing some location stuff.

X-T1 w/ XF56mm f1.2R and battery grip
X100s
....but waiting for specs on the new offerings (X100t and possible X-T1 replacement) next month at Photokina to:
a) decide if I want the MP upgrade and other stuff
or
b) wait for the eventual price drop on the listed models

Also have my eye on a GoPro Hero3+ (black) or the new Hero4
