Playboy Mansion
A couple of weeks ago, I got an invitation to a party at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles. Didn't go - really had no interest (although I appreciated the thoughtful invitation). Occurred to me on reflection how much times have changed. Apr 23 16 11:46 pm Link how did you get an invite? They had different nights for different events. Was it the beach party? or movie night? Apr 24 16 06:56 am Link The playboy mansion is becoming like Brett Favre. They should have closed up shop in 1997, before things started sliding downhill. Now it's just a piece of nostalgia, in desperate need of refurbishing and maintenance. Apr 24 16 08:49 am Link I've worked with models who have been there. Apr 24 16 12:16 pm Link I hear its up for sale.. Apr 24 16 12:17 pm Link Risen Phoenix Photo wrote: The models were special! Apr 24 16 12:18 pm Link Jerry Nemeth wrote: Aren't they all? Most of the events at the mansion are held by others who have rented it. I think Hef still, more or less has his big three, but he doesn't get around very well anymore. I'm not even sure they are continuing. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Apr 24 16 12:27 pm Link The Playboy Mansion is one of those places that if you ever get the opportunity to go there . . . go ! At least once so you can see what all the fuss was about . . . It won't be around much longer, so at the very least it will provide some interesting dinner conversation. Kind of like Michael Jacksons "Neverland Ranch" Apr 24 16 12:28 pm Link Ken Marcus Studios wrote: +1 Apr 24 16 03:36 pm Link That is amazing that you were invited! The Mansion is a mystery to most people (like myself) and I would love to take a peek! If it's going down... it's going down forever in history! Apr 25 16 07:45 pm Link I agree, you should go. If it is a sponsored event, i.e. a rental, they probably won't let you inside. Most of those things take place on the grounds, but not in the mansion, itself. Having said that, it is still, definitely worth the trip. Apr 26 16 07:41 am Link |
