Who would have thought...

I've joined Model Mayhem on April 5th, 2005 and my member number is 130.

I've joined within the first week of MM opened up it's doors for members.

The Greek Model Maria Tsar is the one who pushed me for days to join, but I was busy with my own NYC modeling group I just founded earlier... on... MY SPACE.. no kidding!

It has been an amazing and also a rough ride with the modern administration and moderators.

I am still here, although I am absent for months at at time now.

Congratulations!

I joined in Dec 23, 2006 - member # 297020 so people started piling in pretty quickly!

Lot of changes, I have no idea why I am still here at this point. Music has re-directed my creativity almost entirely.

I still take pictures of stuff I want to sell. Sort of "cheesy" commercial photography. It can be a learning experience, I always want every and any defect to be well depicted so customers know what they are buying - used stuffs. I've literally 2 returns since 2000, one of them a package the Post Office smashed.

I do see some potential models out and about but now is not the time or place.

Happy anniversary! mine will be in October, pretty impressive numbers in the early days of MM, you were #130, and only six months later I was #55589. To say the growth as impressive for a modeling site would truly be an understatement!

3 x High Fives for reaching 15 years on Model Mayhem.

After all this time on MM and you don't post this in the Accomplishments, Achievements and High Fives Forum.

Perhaps as well as the 3 x high fives you should also receive a similar number of lashings!

I'm coming onto my 5 year anniversary and I'm # 37098554856928009684218450683190683475!!! LoL
Udor, congrats and hope you make another 15 more!!
Yeah those were the good old days when you could post pretty much anything and you'd get 5000 views in 1 day!!!
Even 5 years later in my short time here it's changed a lot for model response.
It's gonna take a melding of MM and IG to get even a ghost of the good ole days back!!
Congrats to all of you, it's the only reason MM is still here!!!

#13748. But I can't remember what year I first joined. I was also early on One Model Place which died a slow death.
I joined in June 2005 - just discovered where that info was!  I'm a slow learner...

You've joined June 26, 2005.

There is a secret section, where your join date and you last activity is being displayed.

It's not easy to find, but if you take a look at your profile page, below your profile picture, that tricky info is hiding in plain sight!

I was on OMP first... but this was just more fun and I dumped OMP after a while (OMP took itself too seriously)

I still come here in bits and spurts... but there is really an overall quiet here.

Hey Udor, Good for you!  Oh, I missed my anniversary!
I had joined Apr 09, 2005 and #663
... you beat me by a matter of just a few days.

Congratulations to us old timers.  Don't know if it's worth much?

LOL... luckily, as being one of the early moderators for a few years, I don't have to pay for membership, as mine is a legacy account... or whatever it's been called nowadays.  smile

15 years for you next year?! The level of your contribution to MM's knowledge base puts you in some 20 years realm on here! big_smile

I got on board several months after you but I have been following your posts for ALMOST 15 years and I want to say that it was always refreshing to have someone here who actually knew what he was talking about.  Early on, there were several photographers who shared an enormous amount of knowledge.  Alas, like many places on the web, they got drowned out by the clueless but louder multitude and most have long since gone silent (why fight that fight?).  Wanted to thank you for your participation on the forums all these years.

I joined late April, 2009. I think I was the last batch of legacy members. So its has been 11 years. But it certainly looks like inactivity for the last few years, not my part though. Cameras and lights are still working, just not being used. Bought a ring light year and a half ago. Have not used it once. I mean on Mayhem, I did use it once on some business headshots if that counts.  smile

Brings back warm feelings for good ole' MM.

Very nice to see some of the original pillars of the community here.

Udor- I hope you are still here posting in another 15---

I have learned tons from the many talented folks here, and consider my time here well spent. The only thing you can count on in life is change and MM isnt what it once was---- but ahhh, in its glory days it was some fun, eh?

I heard Model Mayhem might put in a mandatory retirement at 16 years
