I had my first remote shoot yesterday and it went really well, and has made me think that I could be shooting now with anyone around the world rather than juts my local city.
What is the best way to find models which have access to a remote shooting setup?
Would be great if that was one of the search options here on MM, but seems not.

In particular, Art/Figure models across North America would be great to find. I know there must be many.

Is MM the best place to look? I want to look continent-wide - not just at specific cities.

I don't think there's a way to effectively search for models with remote shooting capabilities. But I know of a few - Ivory Flame is in the UK and does them. I believe Sienna Hayes, Anoush Anou, Vivian Cove and a few others are still doing these shoots. I've done a few in the past as well, but it's rarer for me and has depended a lot on who has emailed me about them.

I think if you look up certain models on instagram, see the photographers they're working with remotely, and then find those photographers on instagram, you'll then find more models doing those shoots (because many photographers who shoot remote have photographed many models that way).

Hope that helps!

There are a couple of fantastic models that I work with here in Canada that do remote shoots. They are:

ChristianaOuellette
https://www.modelmayhem.com/ChristianaOuellette

Jay Ban Model
https://www.modelmayhem.com/jban

They have all the equipment to do the remote shoots themselves. When travelling, they have used my studio for some of their remote photoshoots. I have Nikon, Canon and Sony cameras and lenses here, so I can accommodate any models that want to perform remote shoots.

If you haven't arranged remote photoshoots with Christiana or Jay, I would suggest you contact them and make arrangements.

You can try searching for threads posted on the forums regarding romote photo sessions.  I think I may have actually madea post or two back in 2020?

I'll search a little for you since the search feature for posts doesn't seem to work.  I'm using Google;

https://www.modelmayhem.com/forums/post/979101/1

https://www.modelmayhem.com/forums/post/981520
scroll down about 10 to Kevin Connery's post where he list quite a few who do romote modeling

https://www.modelmayhem.com/forums/post/980447

https://www.modelmayhem.com/forums/post/980441

That will give you some reading to do.  Some of those models and photographers who posted 3 years ago are no longer with us.  And it seems Guy has not logged on since Last Activity: Jul 25, 2023 .. so who knows if the OP will read this?

I'm super new here so I haven't heard the term before, what exactly is remote shooting?

Is it like being on facetime and posing while the photographer screenshots? Not sure

I actually know a model in Texas who was very popular doing remote model shoots wth photographers.  You will need to be the one to get a camera though.  Here is a video that hopefuly explains.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ipgwz6IDLo
