Friends (37)About Me
Madeline is a 4' 11" force to be reckoned (and collaborated) with. Her artistic journey started in Northern California where she danced for over ten years with several schools, eventually landing spots in two modern dance companies, simultaneously.
Her interest in dance continued, however she soon discovered just how geeky she was by nerding-out on iambic pentameter and rhyming couplets whilst performing Shakespeare at Santa Rosa Junior College's Intro. to Shakespeare class. Because of her zest for the work, she was quickly cast as the lead female character in Shakespeare in Hollywood under the direction of Leslie McCaulley...and began focusing on theatre. She performed that year in The Summer Repertory Theatre in Sonoma County, working nearly twelve hour days and being mentioned in a couple artsy zines for her comedic timing and general cuteness. She was asked back in 2008 and cracked up audiences with her chain-smoking version of a gym coach in, The Women, among other character roles. She then auditioned and got into UCLA's Acting Program. During her two years, she performed on the mainstage twice: first in The Devils under the direction of an intense man named Patrick Kenelly, for whom she played a possessed nun and rolled around naked in manure... and then for a jolly Irishman named Conor Hanratty, who cast her as, "Dogberry" in Much Ado About Nothing, and painted her face white and gave her red suspenders. After suffering through two years of way too much scansion and capoeira, she graduated from UCLA with a BA in theatre and got a commercial agent. She immediately booked her first SAG gig as an elf for a Bounty music video and became SAG-Elligible. She then played a supporting role in Marin Shakespeare Company's MacBeth as the "Third Witch". She recieved her Equity Membership Candidacy card and the San Francisco Chronicle praised her performance, calling her, "fetchingly quirky." Madeline is steadily establishing herself as a well-rounded, trained, intelligent actor and comedian. She continues to play elves, fairies, gremlins, witches and other non-humans, as well as lesbians, best-friends and obnoxious hipsters. She is thrilled to be a part of such a vibrant community of artists and creators and wants nothing more than to continue this crazy lifestyle. Verified Credits (0)Worked with Onepunkypixie?
