I think that if a woman wants to get them, do your research find a good surgeon and go for it.  I've seen some that looked fantastic that would fool anyone.  I've seen some that looked fantastic that would fool no one.  I've seen others that we're obviously augmented and looked terrible.  But I've seen far more unappealing natural boobs.

Natural only equates to better for those who focus only on ingredients.  In terms of looks, whatever match my definition of appealing.

I will choose models with real over fake any day.  Even good boob jobs are too phoney for me.

I don't think you would prefer post pregnancy, misshapen, and deflated boobs over a full and perky set. wink

I find that it's really, REALLY easy to tell whos breasts are fake and whose are not. I have a lot of friends who've just had boob jobs and you can see the outlines of the silicone bags through the skin (eeeek!).
Even if I didn't have boobs, I'd prefer that to a boob job. Especially since you have to have them replaced every few years too!

And I'd walk around like a robot and look like an idiot, because I'd be afraid of falling over, popping one and having all the toxins run through my body.
Fake boobs are complex, https://assets.modelmayhem.com/images/smilies/scary.pngthings!

Just had to quote...I had a good giggle out of it.  lol

Oh and they say you need them replaced every 10-15 years unless you have problems.  Not "every few years".

Not many people do.  Pancake boobs.  lol

I had 4 children, breastfed all of them and had NO breast tissue.  I didn't even had a mammary fold.  The Dr had to measure out where mine SHOULD have been when I had my surgery.

It was the best $$ I've ever spent.

The good thing about breast implants is that if you get murdered and your body is so decomposed that it cannot be identified, the implants will survive and you can be identified by their serial number.

Well thats a plus! and crazy to think about.

My boobies are fine, but  I have thought about it, if insurance will cover it, and i think they will if I get the proper documentation as a preventative mastectomy. Only thing though is, I would really like to breast feed my child/ren if I ever have any/them. That is also a HUGE commitment and I kinda like the little guys. nothing fancy at all, full b

Sarcasm, it was sarcasm!

Apart from the fact that "All implants break eventually. Some even break during the first few months, and the older your implant is, the more likely it is to break". The silicone does leak out and, like you said, in most cases will be absorbed into tissues, but some may leak into other areas, such as lymph nodes.

It really depends! My husband hates fake boobs. HATES them. So I know there are some men (maybe very few) who aren't into implants at all.

Sarcasm, clearly everyone is a liiiiittle bit uptight about the topic.

Some of my friends have had to have them for health reasons and some have had them for aesthetic reasons, so the time of replacement spans from every 3 or so years to every ten to fifteen, thus encompassing the term "every few years".

fake boobs are like wigs, you can tell, it's okay, but you can tell. I think the misconception is that the woman with the implants is trying to "fool" someone. She's not, its just a matter of personal taste.

Like wigs either you like them or you don't but its not like anyone is being "fooled".

Yes, because some people I know had collapsed chests when they were younger, which meant that there was no protective tissue over the chest and they therefore needed a fake breast.
But I also agree with the above, there are heaps of people who have them in after breast cancer, etc. So I would class it in 'health' reasons sometimes.

I actually saw this on a true crime series where a decomposed woman was found floating in a river and that's how she was identified.

awesome! There are a lot of things that can and can't go wrong. It's the medical field and ANYTHING can happen. My mom had issues with hers and she lost both of hers due to problems with her skin from radiation. I know people who had problems with them leaking, I know people who haven't had a problem at all. Each case is unique. Nothing is ever 100%. Especially withg the medical field. I have learned that lesson.

As a photographer: Not usually a problem, as long as you don't look like Victoria Beckham with those grapefruit halves bolted to your rib cage. That being said, I don't shoot a whole lot of nudes; if I did, maybe I'd be a bit pickier.

As a woman: In my late teens and early twenties, I used to seriously want to get them.  I've always been curvy, and my aim was to even out my hips by adding perhaps one cup size to my boring, average Bs.  I never did it for a multitude of little reasons, but mostly because it's expensive and painful, and there is a lot that can go wrong both aesthetically and medically.  Let's not forget that general anesthesia is always a risk.

As someone who appreciates pretty girls: Not a fan of the beach ball style, but if they're realistic and done well, it's all good.  Of course, one can always tell upon closer examination wink

I said this to my wife too after I got mine. Between my tattoos, my extensive dental work, and my implants....it'd be mighty hard to make my body unidentifiable.

The amount of topless models that have surgery and then cease topless modeling  speaks volumes.

I hate to say it but I think you might be right.

Either that or a lot of women have poor taste when it comes to fake breasts.

Maybe I'm just super opinionated or shallow, but I don't understand why some women get the breasts they get. They're like this two bags just stuck on their chest. No connection with each other or their shape. No idea of how it looks on the rest of the body. Just these two big blobs. And like 3 feet distance between each other. WTF is that? In the porn industry, those boobs are called "valley girls". As in, "Poor woman, she just got back from the doctor with a pair of Valley Girls... too bad."

For the sake of argument, I have a large space between my breasts. When I was a double a cup, my breasts were the same distance apart. It's just my anatomy. I asked about it, and my surgeon told me he would not be able to put them any closer together, the only thing the implants will do is make what I have already larger. That being said, I'm happier with my larger breasts being far apart than with my micro breasts being far apart smile

You asked for opinions, so that's what these are. Everyone has to decide this for themselves.

As a photographer who sees and photographs a wide variety of boobs continually, I would say this:

- Lots of women who think they need them, don't and shouldn't. The high risk of operations that turn out badly is not worth it.

- Lots of women show up with Frankenboobs, and I'm pretty sure that's not what they expected when they went in for an expensive boob job.

- A few models have shown up with fake boobs that are hard to detect, but it's very few compared to those that are scarred, lumpy, stretched and misshapen. After many years of shooting models, I would put this count, based on my personal experience at less than I can count on one hand. Maybe two.

- Lots of implants are way too big to look natural. Less is more. Freakish chop jobs are painful to look at.

- Generally speaking, I do not disagree with women who might want reconstructive surgery for physical reasons.

- Boobs are only two elements of the totality of a person's body. Further, a large part of what I try to capture in photos comes more from the inside out.

- Boob jobs for psychological reasons is too complicated for me address here, and it's a depressing topic.

- My personal preference is for natural beauty over all the trendy things people do to scar and deface themselves. As a measure of beauty, size is irrelevant to me.

But most of all, it's not my business smile

Free will

Regarding size, does this photo make me look more manly?
