Facebook Fanpage! Opinions? And put your link here
Hiya I have just recently started a facebook fanpage as I like to keep my personal profile strictly people I know and then photographers and others can contact me through there. Anyone with fanpages, what is your opinion?? Is it worth it? Also put all your links to it here! I always avoided having a fan page on facebook though I have one on flickr as it is more directly photography related. http://www.flickr.com/photos/eliza_modelportfolio/ I have sold a number of images from it (I have limited rights to some and sold for photographers too) so its been quite good. Oct 12 10 07:45 am Link Oct 12 10 07:49 am Link If anybody who is trying to do professional stuff on their personal profile has an aversion to setting up a facebook fanpage, there have been recent stories of Facebook completely closing their accounts. It doesn't even seem to matter if you are not even being obvious about making money setting up gigs and promoting commercial events. If Facebook thinks you're doing anything commercial / professional with your personal account, they might shut it down for an unspecified amount of time until they investigate. This is a good reason to set up the fanpage. The problem is that you now have to get people to join it. Mine has been pretty successful for me, and the more I learn about how to use it, the better it is. Here's mine. A fan page doesn't mean you're being egotistical.
