Thank You, Eliza.

Sorry for popping in here if it's not welcomed. Just wanted to say thanks for the info Eliza.

I can see that way back when you posted the OP, there weren't a ton of detractors chiming in.

And lots of positive model posts smile

I would love to do Fit modelling. I am with Fittings division and BW but they both said all I could do is Bra fittings. However they then said that I have an odd size: 30FF so I may not get anything. So far in the Five years on their books, not one job.
Hey ho. You really have to have particular measurements.
But if you manage to secure getting companies like M&S you get great regular work.
There is another avenue of modelling that I do that can become regular income. Shopping Channels. You can apply direct to the Channels or through agencies.

I'm too disproportionate for fit (13" difference between waist and hip), which is a shame as I think it would be very interesting to be an intimate part of the production process.

Ya i have a 12" difference... it gives you a good curve but not for normal fitting stuff.

Ah Eliza, I sigh when I read about your experiences with fit modeling --sounds great! Unfortunately I think my proportions are all kinds of wrong for it: 35(on a generous day)-26-38. Makes me seem really pear-shaped (although I don't really appear that way in person/in photographs since my shoulders are broad). I assume fitting models need to have very symmetrical bust-waist-hip measurements at the very least.

I really want to do fit modeling, but I have no idea if I

1. fit the type for it
2. if I do, how to even begin finding jobs for it

Not sure if LA is the right place..?

I fit model. A lot of it is really just searching the castings and waiting until something fits.

There are a few fit agencies, but usually the ideal type is 5'6-5'8 and size 4 or 6, from what I've seen. Also, rather even measurements like 36-26-36.

I love fit modeling. It pays well, works frequently and now I know where to buy pants that actually fit my booty. Hahaha!

Have you contacted any fit agencies? Your measurements aren't bad at all for fit!

But be warned, you'll want to spend all the money you make on the clothes that were made on your body. tongue

Yes. I think one if the reasons it pays well is so you become a client ha ha. After all, you will NEVER get clothes that fit better and no other woman will ever look as good in them! Designer clothing designed on ones own body that normally one can't afford, sold to us at sample prices, can be too much to resist.
