I have never had a list. I am going to make one. Do you have something that can make me go, WOW?

Not looking for shock factor wow, but rather, WOW, cool shot, location, concept, pose, post work. Something that just makes me really like it.

Wanna play?

Neil,

Your work is an inspiration to many of us. It would be easier to list your portfolio as a whole. But this new shot, I saw it the other day when the llama posted, is great. One of my new favorites.

And, first on the new list.

You have some nice work, but none that make me go wow enough to add to my list. The very last shot in your portfolio is close. I like the feel of the stage. Maybe with a different pose.

You have some great work and work with great models, but not my style. Just never been a fan of the washed out/yellow look that seems to be really popular right now. Personally, I like big bold colors or black and white. Great work though, I am sure it is very marketable.

You play - you got listed. This is a killer shot. I would love to see one of the really good retouchers, like A-M-P work this one up.

You have two shots that are so close. There is just that one last thing missing. Not sure what it is - but the composition, lighting is great. Just missing that last element. On the top row, the girl on the beach, in water, the top one her dress is spread out in the water/sand. Love that. Missing something? Then, the girl in the balcony of the theater. So close. it is out of focus.

It looks to me like you connected with this model really well. The only problem I have is that the backgrounds are all so busy, they compete with the models instead of complementing them. This model has some great ink work that my eyes could not focus on because of the scroll work in the gates, the fountain, leaves, etc in other images. I would shoot again with her and work on something with less a less busy background.
