Hi, So i want to go into Glamour/Nude Modeling, I Know i have the looks, body, attitude and I'm comfortable with my body.
A Photographer told he he wanted to take topless, nudes and underwear shoots for me to *build my Glamour Portfolio* I'm i being naive or does that sound a bit *off*?
And Can anyone give me tips/info/advice on becoming a glamour Model, or sites to go to.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

That doesn't sound off to me. I mean, he probably wants the images to help build his portfolio as well as yours, but if he is a decent photographer, having those images will help you get more work.
Unless you are interested in becoming a professional glamour model who does not do lingerie or nude shots...
Edit: Also, if you have any suspicion that this photographer is dishonest or a creep, I recommend checking references. Actually I recommend checking references even if you don't think he's a creep. If he's on MM he may have linked to models in his portfolio that he has worked with--You can contact them and ask them what working with him was like.

If his work is of a suitable quality then you should take him up on his offer.You need decent photos to attract real photographers and make a proper career as a glamour/nude llama.
Don't assume that you should get paid from day 1 for taking your clothes off. You might be able to get a few GWCs to pay you to see you naked but their photos won't improve your portfolio and consequently you could get stuck in a vicious circle of doing nothing but more shitty shoots with more GWCs.

Agreed it sounds like exactly what you need. We always pay our llamas at least a minimum, but this is to establish clear ownership of the images i.e. we own the images in exchange for valuable consideration.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I don't understand. You want to go into Glamour/Nude modeling, but you think it "sounds a bit off" when a photographer wants to shoot glamour/nude photos of you? And your profile says you don't shoot nudes. My tip/advice is don't send mixed messages and communicate clearly in order to prevent misunderstandings.

If he's genuine no problem. Make sure you are both clear on a number of issues before you start.
1) Limits. What he and you think are covered by glamour/nude my be different. Discuss it before hand so you can simply say 'beyond my limit' if he asks to do something.
2) Be clear what you get out of it. If it's TF then you need to get the images that are most useful for your profile.
3) Some photographers can get a bit trigger happy and shoot when you think you are showing too much. Some photographers will allow you to vet the images after and have the ones that show too much deleted - especially if it's TF
4) Being naked shouldn't be an issue for you. If it is, practice. Be naked in front of friends and eventually being naked will become just another wardrobe option!!

Here are some tips for this specific situation:
... Check out the photographer's portfolio. Does he have a variety of images made
with a variety of models? Does his portfolio show some artistic range? Has he
been around for a while?
... Check References! Get to know your local models & photographers, and
ask them if they know this guy. Check with models & photographers who are local
to the requesting photographer.
... Negotiate clear terms. Who is paying whom, and for how much? Are you getting
images; if so, how many, when, what are your usage rights, etc.?
... Where & when is the shoot? What should you bring? How long will it last? etc.
... Modeling is a competitive business. Get to know your local models.
... Be prepared, with wardrobe, make-up, business cards, what-have-you.

isn't that kind of the whole point of trade shoots? to better our portfolios?
if you're not sure about the guy then google him, check references, maybe ask for a pre-shoot meeting.

May I suggest a totally novel and crazy idea.
Something I wish I had done instead of all of the TF I did, constantly working on "trading up" and doing lots of pointless shoots with no good results.
Pay someone. Pay some really f&cking good. Someone who's work you admire, who has been published, who has worked with models who've done at least a little something.
If you think you can't afford it, and will save money by working trades you are dead wrong. Over time you are going to spend money on gas, wardrobe, and make-up, all things you will need to provide on most TF shoots.
TF shoots are good though - dont get me wrong. I've made amazing friends and made some awesome good images from TF, but it took me a LONG time to get there. TF is also a good way just to get in that practice of posing and being in front of the camera. However, if I had known what I was doing and known how things work, if I had done some research, found a good photographer who's skill was way above what my portfolio had (which was total shit two years ago), I probably could have skipped dozens and dozens of TF shoots and met these awesome photographers I work with now a lot sooner, because I would have had a better port from the get go.
I'm pretty much over trying to "trade up." When I rebuild my port, I know I have some amazing go-tos, but outside of that, it's more worth my while to get rates and pay the people who can really take me to the next level instead of playing TF and getting hit and miss shots.
Spend money to make money, every business has to do it. Modelling is no different. I guess the exception would be fashion standard models who can walk into a reputable agency and get signed.
Glamour is a different ball game, though.
Do some TF, get some practice, make some friends. But really consider paying someone who knows their shit if you are serious about this. Dont pay any Joe Schmoe. Pay a damn good photographer. Get hair and make-up.
