There's one or two photos I have up in the port that weren't my favourite from that certian shoot - but the majority of people liked it better. If I want to successfully market myself I need to appeal to a vase majority of people, not just myself.

All good thoughts, from everyone. I have to say, though, Nicole, that you're the first person to ever say that that image was bad! I'm interested to hear why... partially because you're basically the first person besides me to not absolutely rave about it.

Why would you hire a model based on a photo with a haircut that's different than every other photo in the portfolio?

I'm not trying to be a smart-aleck, but there have been plenty of people who did hire me, based on that image, but also acknowledging that I now had a different haircut.

I really don't know what it is--maybe it's the pose, maybe it's the lighting, and maybe it's something else.

I understand the concept of only using current images in a portfolio; trust me, I've been doing this since 2001. That's why this one is so different for me--it's the only one that has defied reason, when it comes time to switch up le olde porte. Yes. I "SHOULD," theoretically, switch out this photo, based on how old it is, and the change in hairstyle, but there are always a few reasons which argue against getting rid of it. It's never been the case with any other image. That is why I'm questioning getting rid of it.

You post a lot of 'pairs' of shots from a given shoot. I'd mix them up a bit so the 'pairs' aren't side by side and quite so obvious. Usually, it's suggested you only post 1 shot of a given outfit/setup. I think that may be a bit restrictive in some instances, other times it's good advice.

Just my opinion.

I agree with the good shot remark. Sometimes a shot can improved but it is bullet-proof pretty much in getting across some of your powerful qualities.  You look good in it and somehow it conveys something a quality that closed the deal and more than one. You still get references to it, so if it is still helping you, keep it, until it doesn't serve you.

I really don't understand what you're asking. In the photo in red, I was a baby-face and pretty inexperienced as far as "real modeling" goes. Now, I'm 15 lbs thinner, usually always with a hard body (right now I have a knee injury, so I can't exercise, but you can still see the hard body, to a lesser extent), a heck of a lot more confident, and published.

Pretty sure that my reality is not sub-prime.

Of course, because this is the internet, I don't know if you were saying that as a statement about me now, or as a general "maybe she does look worse now, but is just photoshopped; I really have no idea so I'm just guessing and actually want to help" kind of statement. It didn't sound like it.... again, words.
