Everyone has to learn how to use facebook to keep things they don't like from their timeline. She figured it out....

Do you really care if your husband's mother's sister thinks your pictures are too sexy? Do you really care if she chooses not to see them?
Do you need her support?

The husband might

But, the first part i agree

I stop talking to them.

Sounds like your relative already handled it for you.

I might respond with "oh, I see! Well I'm glad you took care of that for us, have a great life" because fuck her, but probably not.

So if someone disagrees with something you do, you end all relationship with them?  Wow.  Way to reduce the xmas card list

I most recently received a text message from my husband's aunt who pointed out to me that she unfriended me from facebook because she's constantly embarrassed and offended by my pictures.  I had a portfolio album on my facebook,  but don't feel anything was embarrassing or offending. I am very proud of my portfolio, but i do admit some pictures are sexy, but they are tasteful imo.  My own family is extremely supportive.
I am not sure what to say or how to deal.  I haven't responded.  I thought I should ask how any of you have dealt with similar situations.

Doing what you do is always going to offend someone or make some uncomfortable. Just tell them that you feel it's ok for you, and go about your business. UNLESS there are kids involved. Nices, nephews, other close relatives that may be teased or picked on because of your activities. Then you may need to think through what you publish where. At least if it's not a living...

I would respond with "No problem.  Sorry you feel that way."

No need to say anything else.

Why try to pick a fight, or worry about someone like this?  It doesn't matter what you do, you won't change her mind.  Let her live her life.

We all need to choose our path in the world.  No matter what path you choose, there are always people who will disagree with your choice.

You shouldn't worry that she doesn't approve of your choice.  There is no need to stoop to her level and tell her you don't approve of her choices.   If she's offended by certain images, who are you to tell her to change?  She should be allowed the choice not to look.

I don't think you need to take it personally. I feel that the only way his aunt will get over it, is if you stop Modeling. That's how some people are, they want YOU to fit into their mold.

She was probably on Facebook just to spy on you and keep track of you (and what you're uploading). Her unfriending you did you a favor.

Lastly, you can't please everyone.

Early days of my time here,  I got a negative feedback for  group of portfolio pictures..    Was my younger sister,  who had a full grasp on my work,,  She suggested that I put  my calendar work in a seprrate portfolio..  It was not a negative comment,  it was just a seperate  catagories of work.

Unless she is paying your bills... who cares? Really?

There will always be people who would rather concentrate on other people's stuff than their own. She must not have a lot going on in her life that what you do matters.

It is facebook for God's sake.... I'd tell her that she is intitled to her opinion and that you are okay with her feelings.

I created a list that left out broadcasting stuff to family/coworkers.  Eventually I just created a separate account for photography.

I like what I do and see nothing "wrong" with it, but I realize the rest of the world isn't always going to follow me in that belief.  Better to just advertise to the people that want to see it.

I must admit, My Faceybook is NOT for my Family, as I have more NUDEs on my Facebook than anywhere.

When I find someone who is offended by Anything I write, post or share on the Faceybook, I simply Block them, not jut unfriend them, but Block them because their morbid curiosity will bring them back to viewing your stuff, just so they can talk behind your back...

my usual response to people who get offended by things they see online:
"Welcome to the internet."
