There are falls at:

Old Man's Cave
     Upper Falls (only a couple minutes walk from the parking lot) and Lower Falls

Cedar Falls

The shoot we did last fall was at Rock House.

Remember to print out directions before you leave home.  GPS coverage can be spotty in the hills.

Just so that you are aware of it, climbing rocks off the trails and wading are both against park rules, so don't let me catch you doing things like that.

As a nod to the park's precautions, when I went to Old Man's Cave in Jan. '78, as we approached the Lower Falls, there was a yellow rope across the trail.  When we went past the yellow rope (Shhhhh   ), we came to a place where the trail was GONE.

We went back to where the trail was roped off & took the designated by-pass to get to the bottom and there was a very large chuck of rock that used to be attached to the rockface above including about 10' of the trail.

BTW, if you think some of the stairways there are a little tricky now, try them in snow B ice.

I went off the trail and had to climb over wet and slippery rocks.  It was dangerous.

That trip, I went down an entire icy stairway on my butt in one slide.  It was not intentional.

Last fall, we had just wrapped up this shoot and started walking back when we passed a group of Amish heading into where we had been.

Jim said last year that the owner had been advised by his atty. not to let anyone back there due to possible liability, so he put up a high fence.  Doesn't sound like we're likely to get that location back.

Not going to happen, new owner built a house near it and he is a jerk. He has posted  No Trespassing signs all around his property.
