There are falls at:

Old Man's Cave
Upper Falls (only a couple minutes walk from the parking lot) and Lower Falls

Ash Cave    Jim's photo below

Cedar Falls

The shoot we did last fall was at Rock House.

Remember to print out directions before you leave home.  GPS coverage can be spotty in the hills.

Just so that you are aware of it, climbing rocks off the trails and wading are both against park rules, so don't let me catch you doing things like that.  big_smile

Yeah, Cedar Falls now has a cable strung around the "viewing" area, guess they don't want folks swimming/wading anymore, either.  * But the small fall is still open as far as I know. *

I guess that's one more place I don't have to go to any longer now that they have ruined the photo.

As a nod to the park's precautions, when I went to Old Man's Cave in Jan. '78, as we approached the Lower Falls, there was a yellow rope across the trail.  When we went past the yellow rope (Shhhhh smile  ), we came to a place where the trail was GONE.

We went back to where the trail was roped off & took the designated by-pass to get to the bottom and there was a very large chuck of rock that used to be attached to the rockface above including about 10' of the trail.

BTW, if you think some of the stairways there are a little tricky now, try them in snow B ice.

I went off the trail and had to climb over wet and slippery rocks.  It was dangerous.

was out in that area a few times this winter. went over to cantwell cliffs, and there were rangers/deputies/ambulances in the parking lot.  some guy had slipped on the trail down, went over the cliff, fell 30+ feet. ranger told me if I didn't have cleats, i'd best go home.  I went home.  lol

That trip, I went down an entire icy stairway on my butt in one slide.  It was not intentional.

Last fall, we had just wrapped up this shoot and started walking back when we passed a group of Amish heading into where we had been.

While this photo isn't 18+, it probably would have been XXX to them.  smile

I am afraid I can't make the event in May as I will leave Ohio on April 27 for a road trip and go back to Boston at the end of the road trip.
Really hope to do some good different shootings here in Columbus, OH before I leave.
If any of you have time before April 25th and have interests to shoot with me please contact me wink
Thanks and enjoy the rainy day!

Hi all! I would def be interested in Hocking shoot but am running into some difficulties...wanted to get cabin that weekend but saw they all filled up already, and even if they weren't, I am struggling financially to afford one even if they weren't filled. Also, lost my peripheral vision few yrs back so no longer drive and roommates working that weekend so was wondering if anyone coming from Zanesville area that might be able to help a soul out please? P.S...don't mean to sound as negative I am just being honest and explaining my situation. (I try to be a positive person) wink

Jim said last year that the owner had been advised by his atty. not to let anyone back there due to possible liability, so he put up a high fence.  Doesn't sound like we're likely to get that location back.

Not going to happen, new owner built a house near it and he is a jerk. He has posted  No Trespassing signs all around his property.

This will be my last official shoot as a MM photographer. Seems everyone wants to "be" a model but not get out there and actually model--At least in my area. Here is my latest schedule
9-10 open
10-11 Kira Night
11-12 open
12-1 lunch
1-2 open
2-3 Lynni C
3-4 open
4-5 Lynn Adia
5-6 Brittany Lee
6-7  open

I still have quite a few times open.  Models, if you are booked and wish to shoot, I have done many 5-15 minute mini shoots.  They are a great way to get in one more shoot to add extra photos to your port.

I have not heard from Ryan Michelle MM#3242779 since March 3rd, so I have removed her from my schedule.
