I've only heard that one freaking overplayed song. She's okay, but I can't stand the song.

She is amazing, mostly because she is borne from two talented parents herself.  Her mother is an award winning poet, and it makes sense in her lyrics.

This cover of "Tennis Court" is amazing

I don't listen to broadcast radio and don't have cable or satellite TV, so I've heard the song only a few times. I love the song and her. She seems to have some brains and doesn't hang her tongue out like a porn star trying to catch a facial. A girl with dignity. What the hell is THAT all about?

I kinda have to admit, that after getting linked to it from SF2, I enjoy Puddle's the Clowns versions better.

I do think she has a great voice/potential, but whoever's writing her songs needs to take a different approach so she can show more range. She's young, though, so i'll just wait and see!

I prefer Birdy or Lana Del Rey. Lorde is good, but I don't like all of her work.

I wish our local radio station play her songs more often.  She is not very popular here.  I dug into her background and found that she is only 17 yo.  She wrote Royals when she was 15.  She proofread her mother thesis when she was 14.  Many people resent her that she is dating an ugly old Asian geek who is a photographer. We haven't made much progress in last 100 years.

There are other controversies too.  Despite all there, I will continue to listen to her music.  I found her presentation and songs are well beyond her age.

She's okay. I only like one of her songs and it took me a long time to realize she was a girl. I don't watch music videos so I didn't know Lorde was female. Her voice is deep, deeper than I expected. Nice song though, fun to watch drunk people try to sing it on karaoke night

She reminds me of Joe Cocker singing a Beatles' tune in Woodstock.  LOL

When I was 24, I didn't want anything to do with 17 year old boys. They were kids; I was a grown woman. No, it's not old, but too old to want a teenager.

No, he is not old at all.  It is just that people or her fans think she is so pretty, why needs to settle with an Asian geek.  This is not even racism, it is the way people see.  For the last 200 years, the western civilization (the Whites in North America, Europe and Australia) dominates the world in what we define beauty and common practices.  Asian men are not considered hot.  I can't even argue since my daughter is marrying to a Red Head soon.   As an Asian man, I believe we have so much to offer.  I am just sayin'

Her style is refreshing.  Her stage presentation is beyond her year.  Her emotion with her song is in a great harmony.

I hope her success would not change her like for many others.  It is interesting that when asked what did she buy with all this money.  She told the report she bought a new Queen size bed.

I like her music, but I don't feel it's any better than Lana DelRay, or other similar "alt pop" female artists.

Seems pretty harsh for not liking her music. Perhaps she ran over your dog with her car?
