First of all, I was fitted at Vicky's Secret at age 14 and was always sure I was a 32a because I was very thin and have remained thin.

I came across a forum today and intended to give advice to a girl nervous to go for a bra fitting.

I tried to give more confidence to the girl and noticed that a person posted a bra sizing video. I ignored it at first with a firm belief that I REALLY knew my bra size.

10 minutes later, I realized I had over an hour of boredom to fill, so I decided to measure myself once again.

How... Do I go from a 32a or b to a 32 E... I don't even.

Perhaps i've done it wrong. x_X

Edit: The title is supposed to say "32 E".

I didn't watch the video but I've had similar issues.  About ten years ago the ladies were measuring me as a 36b.  But the issue is they were adding 6 inches to the band size and them subtracting from the fullest to get the cup size.  When those bra's didn't fit I ended up trying stuff on my own and wearing a 34c.  It wasn't until a few years ago that I remeasured at VS and was told I'm a 32D.  Let me tell you the 32D's fit like a glove.

I actually just went bra shopping today.

VS fitted me as a 32D and I was like uh huh, sure, whatever.  Cause no.  But in their brand, 32D is perfect for me.  (I typically fit a 34 C in other brands, so I'm thinking there's a little vanity sizing going on)

I ended up going to JCP today because I didn't feel like spending a fortune on a bra.  The only brand I saw that I liked, which seemed similar to a brand I used to wear that was discontinued, didn't come in my size.  The 32s only came in A and Bs.  34s were As and Bs as well. That's it.  Uh what?

Ended up going into VS, and guess what?  Semi Annual sale.  w00t!  3 bras, paid about 60.  I'm a happy camper.  Super comfy, attractive bras that didn't cost me and arm and a leg.

I went from a 32A, to a 32DD, to a 36D in 6 years. Go figure! Our bodies are strange.

I realize the cup is the same.  But I need the larger band in other brands.  The VS 32 is fine though.

My boobs fit the best and are most comfortable on a 30C but this is a size very hard to find so I just make due with a 32B.

I used to wear 34A wich is a sister size and it used to fit awful because the band was to big even though it fit it was not the best fit for me.

Yep. I have a large ribcage so my size is 32D, 34 C or 36B. I have a bunch of mix and matches in those three sizes.

I have heard that 75% of women wear the wrong size (if they wear one). I'll leave the sizing to experts, though.

You and I are the same age. Over the past year or so, my boobs have gotten a little bigger, and I have always been flat-chested. My other measurements have stayed the same. I think the breasticles of us womenfolk must continue to grow into our 30s. This is the first time in my life I've had boobies. They're still very small, but there's actually enough to cup in one hand now, which is new and exciting!

I'm like, "Yay! Boobies!!!"

I have also found some confusing information online. For example, one site recommends measuring under the bust then using this measurement as your band size  and says that this "modern bra sizing" is the most common today. I have never fit (or even seen) a bra with sizing such as this (for me this would be a 28 or 29 something). All of my bras are 34B or 32C (strapless bras), based on the system of adding 5 inches to the underbust measurement. Does anyone find that they use the "modern bra sizing" method to buy bras as described here?  (here is the link where I found that information, in case anyone is interested: http://brasize.com/band-size.html ).

My sister was a bra buyer for years with VS. SHe told me amoung other things, yes there is a vanity siveup but it had to do with the style anmd how it was being marketed.

Another item of interest, the Outlet Malls all have VS in them and Nine West, it is the usual stuff but at strongly reduced costs. I have taken models to 9 West to buyt shoes for shoots, but send them toshop VS by themselves.

Hi,
It makes sense to me since you were first measured at 14 years old and now you are ten years older, (and solidly beyond puberty.)

Mine pretty much stayed the same throughout but at 46.5 I started to gain weight and with hormonal changes they've grown too, (probably just plumped up but, not more than a cup size throughout.

Yeah. Ha, I never thought of that until I saw the video, since most of my middleschool/highschool clothing (pants and shirts) still fits.

Well, according to this your breasts are bigger than mine tongue
I normally wear D/DD and I don't understand all this kind of mad sizes but now it seems like every girl is E/F/G/K/whatever and I'm the only one who's wearing small D, lol. I feel comfortable in all of my bras tho.

Nothing beats actually going into a store and trying bras on. Tables, charts and videos are meaningless without doing the actual work of seeing what fits in real life.

My boobies recently grew into a DD. I'm still getting taller, still developing. I started puberty late so, in High School I was a B/C. I've been expecting this though, DD's and DDD's run in my family. It's a pain in the back though (literally).

Sometimes girls are measured wrong and sometimes you just keep growing! lol

My question is, how did you keep 32E's in a 32A bra and still be comfortable?! That's how I knew I grew, the squished in feeling was unbearable.
