WHAT's your next gear purchase..
What's your next gear purchase going to be? ME? I am hoping to get two Nikon D3 bodies... or a canon D1X.. or... maybe i'll have to buy my wife a diamond... then i can get the cameras... DAMN IT!! Aug 17 14 01:07 am Link Aug 17 14 02:12 am Link New set of Bowens.....one day! I can dream..... 1x1000w + 3x500w Aug 17 14 02:38 am Link I'd love a Pentax 645z. Aug 17 14 03:07 am Link Sony FE 35mm f2.8 ZA Carl Zeiss Sonnar Aug 17 14 05:41 am Link Sigma 50mm ART. But I just bought the Sigma 85mm last spring so I will wait awhile on buying the 50mm. Aug 17 14 05:44 am Link 70-200mm f/2.8 lens Aug 17 14 06:04 am Link I am a simple man with simple needs. A Point and Shoot would do. The World's first Point and Shoot with an APSc sized sensor. ... and a flash sync speed of 1/2000th sec (for anybody who cares.) (and note those crooked eyelets!) Waiting for you here: http://www.amazon.com/Leica-X-Vario-Typ … B00DC3ZJEY . Aug 17 14 06:07 am Link I just made a purchase! I just bought a Holdfast Money Maker. Aug 17 14 06:10 am Link The new D4 and some alien bees plus the battery packs Aug 17 14 06:22 am Link Fuji xt-1 with 27mm Aug 17 14 07:11 am Link Canon 7d Mark II Aug 17 14 07:25 am Link Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VRII Aug 17 14 07:33 am Link One of them mini tabletop tripods :-p Aug 17 14 07:51 am Link an airline case that is safe to transport my Para 133 on location Aug 17 14 07:53 am Link We will see how good that Pentax 645z is. Might grab one. My next planned purchase is 4 PCB Einsteins. Aug 17 14 08:09 am Link A softbox! (artist with limited budget) Aug 17 14 08:20 am Link Probably the Sigma 85 f/1.4 ART lens if its sharpness numbers are as good as Nikon's. If for nothing more than to be able to tune the AF in that lens that should make it better than the Nikon that doesn't allow me to do so, only their techs which can be an iffy proposition and downtime to do so. Plus, the issue of it acting different on another body where it might need to be re-adjusted for that body too. Nikon needs to provide something similar for their own lenses, imho. Sigma got smart. They can lower the cost of the lens since they will sell the dock for $60 and leave all the warranty focus nonsense and bench work to the owner. Nikon has to pay a tech to fix it, and then doubtful they will spend all the time to do so either. Aug 17 14 08:23 am Link Aug 17 14 08:45 am Link Either a neewer flash for ettl or a 28-70 L lens Aug 17 14 09:07 am Link I bought a Guerilla Pod yesterday. Probably all I need for a while. Aug 17 14 09:16 am Link I'll be rebuilding my gear from the ground up. Not sure what direction i am going but leaning toward staying with what I know and have enjoyed. An E-M1 and a few lenses. Aug 17 14 09:20 am Link a zoom lens for the wife's fuji x-pro1 and/or an LED light panel that goes in the flash socket Aug 17 14 09:27 am Link Beautifully Soft Focus wrote: Me too if it ever actually comes out. Been hearing about it for 2 years now. Hope they used those two years to make it damn near perfect. Aug 17 14 10:27 am Link Pinup Fantasies wrote: If, by some strange miracle, it's a 1.3 crop then I'm all over it like white on rice. Aug 17 14 10:43 am Link A new speedlight after 3 years of heavy use a new/backup would be great. Probably the new pro body from Sony when it is released and starts shipping. Aug 17 14 11:13 am Link A carbon fiber tripod. Aug 17 14 11:19 am Link 2 more Einstein's Aug 17 14 11:28 am Link I'd love to try the new Tamron 150-600mm, but they have been backordered since like April (lame) I'd love to have a medium format, probably an RZ, but I'd take a Hassy if need be. Could use a new scanner... and a Fuji X-T1 and if Nikon ever gets off their ass, a new professional spec DX body. Aug 17 14 11:36 am Link Some 'charity wristbands' to attach filters to my speedlights. Aug 17 14 11:39 am Link Aug 17 14 11:47 am Link Probably buy another couple of Alien Bees to replace the ones I had to sell a while back when the hard time fairy came to visit. And an 85 1.4D Nikkor lens. Aug 17 14 12:48 pm Link If Sony comes out with a medium format, that will be my next choice. Aug 17 14 01:05 pm Link GlamourPhotoChicago wrote: Nice. Aug 17 14 01:06 pm Link Most likely: A 135mm 1:1 Macro lens (when Nikon makes one - comparable to their current 105) A Mola Sollo (with grid) - 28" will fit in the backseat so perfectly (and the high output interior!) and I want to start doing some location stuff. Aug 17 14 01:11 pm Link D810... it's everything the D800E wishes it was... Aug 17 14 01:23 pm Link oh, and a drone Aug 17 14 01:29 pm Link X-T1 w/ XF56mm f1.2R and battery grip X100s ....but waiting for specs on the new offerings (X100t and possible X-T1 replacement) next month at Photokina to: a) decide if I want the MP upgrade and other stuff or b) wait for the eventual price drop on the listed models Also have my eye on a GoPro Hero3+ (black) or the new Hero4 Aug 17 14 02:07 pm Link I'm looking at the profoto b1 and a macbook pro. Aug 17 14 02:30 pm Link A complete underground studio, with landing bays and launch pads for my aircraft...and a rocket ship.. Aug 17 14 03:06 pm Link |
