If you have a resemblance (bone structure, frame) i'm sure it's fine. Biancadadiva has been trying to clear that up for awhile now. Either 50% or you can tell that you're something She just doesn't want everyybody posting in here because there are alot of people who are like an 18th and don't look anything like that '18th' ya dig? appreciate it

Yes, I've seen a lot of that and some... it's sad. Thanks for your encouragment! that brings up a small question i have--please so not ugle up the posts and keep the topic pure please respond to me in a message if you want-- I was curious how you felt OP about the "whisper" claims...to me if someone is over 4 generations out from pure blood then it's not enough to ask for $$$ or anything...but what if folks want to remember and honor their roots? is that looked down upon? It's a personal question really..i don't want to over step any boundaries.

Biancadadiva wrote: One more time... For everyone throwing a hissy fit because they have less then 50% native in them but clearly look native.....PLEASE, PLEASE pay more attention when reading! It says AND/OR. Let me break it down for you...I say 50% because majority of the time you are half something it shows very well (unless of course one side has stronger genes then the other). OR (keyword OR) if you have the traditional Aboriginal; Native American; Indian look REGARDLESS of your percentage. Hope that clarifies things. If you can't comprehend the purpose of this thread after reading this... i give up! No one is throwing a hissy fit, we are responding. My post was simply responding to someone being upset that a model decalred herself caucasion on her page. Thats it, no attack directed at you or this GREAT thread! Okay is it all good now?

My father was born near there in Vian, I was born in Tulsa and my son was born in Oklahoma City. My dad's parents were both half-bloods (mom's heritage is questionable) so I am at least 1/8 Cherokee but we are a mixed family with some full-blood aunts and half (or more) cousins. I probably look about as Cherokee as John Ross did. So yeah, I guess you could say I'm from Oklahoma. And proud of it.

They had been cheated for generations about how much $$$ the Oil was worth. Well, it was proven that they were cheated - white people cheating Native Americans is nothing new. Well when the case as won, the sudden jump in population of Native Americans was alarming and FUNNY at the same time. I never saw so many blue eyd or blonde people claiming to be Native. Oil $$$ made a LOT of people who were caucasian yestrday magically turn Native today. That is not PRIDE, that is GREED and THEFT. Honoring your culture is FAR removed from sudden greed. No one is going to harass you for respecting a culture.

Wow... nice to see some Very Beautiful Native models here. I myself work with and try to promote the Beauty of our people. Most of them I meet at our gatherings or are referred to me by thier friiends, sisters, aunties and mom's. I enjoy bringing out a sense of self confidence in them. I will post a few of the images from my portfolios, and who knows maybe I can work with some of you's too and help you build your portfolios. All the best to the Beauty of the First Americans. Let me know what you think? Bruno MM # 236769
