Here is an image that has already been published but I am considering including it in the next version of my portfolio. My digital tech is retouching it now, but I thought it might be interesting to see what anyone else comes up with. I'll have him post our final effort if anyone is interested. http://www.danhowell.com/DHowell_Pouch_037.jpg for 9x12/300dpi downsized from RAW

Thanks JNB, Palasade, John N, Rafa and everyone who took a swing at this. Most of you picked up on the background lacking the contrast that I think it should have. Adding color was an unexpected result I must say. It's hard to tell at 600 pixels if anyone did much work on the model's face. Peter, the digital tech I'm working with (MM 31162), did a lot of subtle correction in her face. One thing I wanted that no one seems to have picked up on is that this very slender model appears wide thru her middle because of the way the fabric was hanging. Peter corrected this as well. The capture was all natural light from two windows which created interesting light but challenging as well. The color balance is weird because of casts that picked up in the shadow areas. We worked on that as well. I hope he will post the final result later today and explain how he got there. Thanks again to everyone who worked on this image.

Hi Dan, I did a couple of blemish fixes on the face and thought about correcting the contact lens issue (I could see the edges), but decided not to. I can email or send you the fullsize pic if you'd like. -J

Probably could have done better with a hi res photo, but you get the idea. Added hair, reshaped the bust and hip line, general tweaking. Mark

Adusted and smoothed the skin. Fixed the differential between the lighting on the face and the torso. Added some eye makeup and work. Reshaped the lips a hair, and generally just tried to clean it up. Mark

I was working with a couple this last weekend, and they really liked this shot, but I am not quite sure what I should do to make it better. For once, I am at a loss... Here is a link to a larger file: http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p191 … 425bd2.jpg The shoot that this came from isn't a paid shoot, and the couple isn't paying for the print, either. It's from a test I did with them, trying to test my lighting, and they were interested in modeling....Though both are a bit old to just be starting, I still decided try and help them out. BTW: they wanted this for each of their portfolios...
