19 hrs in a car
2000 km driven
100 litres of diesel
$500-$700 spent
2 car accidents
8 hours of sleep spanning across 3 days
And a gazillion questions from US Customs equals one experience that I'll never trade in for anything.

Hamza, 00Siris. You put together one hell of a show. Thank you. It was definitely worth it.

Hamza and 00siris this was one fantastic event!  I was hot, sweatty, grimy, dirty, with the rain I couldn't keep the sweat out of my eyes (that stuff burns, lol).  It was just beautiful.  Well worth the trip.  To all the lovely models I got to shoot with, THANK YOU!  You were all fantastic.  How you held up and kept your makeup together, I don't know.  MUAs, you were fabulous.  To all the models I didn't get to work with, maybe next time.  I met some really great photographers, everyone was really generous.  Just a great atmosphere.  Put me down now for the next shootout.  And finally, do I know how to pick out dresses, especially red ones? lol

I want to know why 9 out of 11 makeup artists flaked.

AerickkcireA Bodyart(body painter) MM# 230808
Cool Artist2005 MM# 47950
Glamm-Girl MM# 414475
Hair and Make Up MM# 248294
Identity MM# 101463
IzzyOnTheEyes MM# 350169
Karla Cruz MM# 309441
Missy Sue (Also a model) MM# 32818
Rosela Moseng MM# 427168
Sharon -Rosa MM# 387203
theLookMakeUpArtistryMM# 419189

AerickkcireA Bodyart was there and did some great work, despite his airbrush pump being broken.

I'm not sure who the fantastic woman was who did three looks for me but she was really terrific and I truly appreciate all the hard work she put in the whole day, being the only traditional makeup artist who didn't bail on us.

Major props to her as she did makeup non-stop (or so it seemed to me) in that hot, airless, muggy room without complaint.

Thanks, Hamza, for being an infallible human GPS!

OOsiris, encore! Encore!.

Thanks to both ... I know what a major pain it is coordinating something like this.

On a general note, it was great to make everyone's acquaintance ... looks like some stellar images are coming out of it and what more could anyone want?

OK, my turn to jump on the band wagon!

Great job to everyone!  I had a blast meeting everyone and getting to use some seriously cool equipment, not to mention photography some very very talented models.

This was a first for me, but it won't be my last -- I saw a few comments about how there was no drama and I can only agree.  Literally, every person I met was nice, polite and helpful and seemed to be having a good time with whatever they were doing at that moment.

Special thanks to Fred from FJL Photography for lending me his awesome lenses -- many of my shots were using them.  Also thanks to Dave (The Rollei Guy) for letting me mess around with his strobes/studio equipment.

The models I worked with, Jaquelin, Donna, Marla, Rania, and Maya. They were all so nice and fun to work with, I want to do it again as soon as possible.

And thanks to Siris and Hamza for putting it together! I can truly say it's the best time I've had in a long time.
