I'm still working on mine. I'm going to give these out folded like palettes. They will have round eyeshadow stickers in the pots, which I will remove one at a time every time a client comes with the business card for a 15-20% discount. That way they can give it to their friends to get a discount too and my name gets around a bit more.

I had thought of giving them an empty card, and fill IN the pots with permanent stickers (the kind that will just rip all over the place if you try to peel them off.) You think that would be better? Any advice would be nice.

I have a larger one that is like TWO cards folded, so that when it's folded it is the normal card size with two pots in it. I had thought of using that because when the pots are full, they can just cut the second half off and have a normal business card, but everyone seems to like the smaller, sleeker one.

So my cards are pink (rosey blush like) and brown. Mine are protrait-style, not landscape.

One side is pink and on the bottom in brown, right justified, is my name, and then smaller underneath, my phone number.

On the back it's brown and in the same position in pink it says "I do hair." Underneath in smaller text is says "i'm pretty awesome." Lol.

I get lots of laughs handing them out, haha.

lol you crack me up tongue  A friend of mine designed me one that said something to the effect of 'I'm a pretty big deal' in the little tag line. . .  I chose to smile and file the design as I've got a rep already and that's just not gonna help wink  I still sport my 'I fix $10 haircuts' shirt on the regular tho when I'm feeling saucey and I do have a shirt that says 'My clients think I'm pretty awesome' so no need to put it on my cards tongue
Some of my clients are bigger smart asses than you and I combined. . . I heart them!

This is almost exactly the final edit of mine.  The only thing I had added was on the back (all pink, with signature and lips at the bottom right) was a list of the kind of work I do (Print, Bridal, etc.)

I like them simple and matching my website design. This card is glossy on both sides.

So many beautiful ones!

I'm reordering mine tonight as I've updated my details so will post the design later.

I've always had an image but I thing they look too messy and they date too quickly. My fave image now won't be my fave in a couple of month's time.

Jhaesayte, now I know your real name! Vanessa is so much easier to pronounce. In fact, I still can't pronounce 'Jhaesayte'!

Jay-Sayt?

Anyway! I think adding stickers would be better, that way it will be like "yaaay, I have a full palette, now I get a discount!"

Here is one I've had that has served me for years now, but I regret not using a more generic/classic photo being I have a lot of  politicians and government officials I work on. I feel like i have to apologize every time I give a snake card out.haha. It was a good ideal when I was doing more testing and my clients were not so "official"  as it got good feedback. lol! This thread reminds me I need to get on that new design asap.

This has rounded corners and comes on nice stock quality gloss paper.

Here's mine - gotta order more soon.

My fiancee makes my cards lol.  They have UV spot glow on some areas, the rest is matte.  Nice heavy cardstock too.

Here's mine.  I use the the name logo and fonts on all of my stuff to keep my branding consistent.  I don't love the design at all but i don't hate it enough to trash the huge pile of cards i have to pay for new ones. i didn't want to put a picture on the card because i tire of my images so quickly, so i was bored one night and just played with photoshop until i got what i wound up with.  it's ok.

This is SO important. I actually just remembered that the when I got my snake cards printed I had a different website and the landing page was the exact same picture and layout on the front of the card to enter. The more consistent your brand is the better.

I used to have pictures on my old business cards but I found that I always wanted to change the picture everytime I shot something new.  I'll still be satisfied with this card in 6 months or a year or whatever. smile

EDIT:  I give up on resizing.  they don't seem to get any smaller.

I'm sad that we're not supposed to have pics of our work. And looking through some of these awesome examples, I'm realizing mine is a bit busy, but here it is!

I like images but the only thing is that they date easily and knowing me, I'd be ordering new ones every few weeks!!

I love the back of yours - you could simplify the front and it wouldn't be busy at all smile

Here's my card. I'm re-printing it soon, with a new picture and my agency information. I also changed all the font on my website to Helvetica, so I want the card to match. I'm way into san-serif fonts at the moment; nice and clean. And I'm getting my agency comp printed next week too; excited! big_smile

Thanks big_smile  (assuming you meant me Vanessa)  I like yours. Sophisticated is the word that comes to mind.

Soooo many good cards on here!  It makes me jealous to see that so many of you designed your own sad  Mine were not that hot when I designed them myself.  I got a buddy to do my current ones for me and he's a legit designer so of course they're awesome.

Heres one I just designed. Not entirely sure if it will be what i'm using. Feel free to let me know what you think, pm me if you want to provide constructive critisism and don't want to get in trouble smile
Please note that my main market will be brides so I wanted something classy that would appeal to them but also something not all white so it could be used for other areas. My website isn't designed yet so don't bother trying to look for it, lol.

Am thinking of making the back the same design but listing what services I provide.
Thoughts?
