Overnightprints here as well. I always get compliments on the card stock, and they're so inexpensive.
Here's a funny one: last time IO had to reorder I got double the quantity I ordered. Free of charge. I don't know if they messed up or what, but I was never charged for them. Epic Win!

i love overnightprints. been ordering my model biz cards from them forever.
as soon as i get something i feel confident enough about shot, i'll be ordering my MUA cards from there too smile

I love your card! But I too work on a lot of politicians and try to keep it generic. I have to say the one they NEVER forgot was my makeup card with a photo of me in a beautiful baby blue bustier. One politician carried it in his wallet (it was 4x6) and got in trouble with his wife! LOL

Here's my card. Very clean and classic.

I don't like the look of pics on business cards. Unless you're established, and won' change your pics often, I don't see the need for them. That's why God invented compcards. Here's mine.

The business card has rounded edges. IT's glossy on both sides. The comp is glossy as well. The font is something I downloaded online and I use it for all my promo stuff for consistency.

Tx for Bumping this....Just reminded me, i need new business cards....

Just transitioning to my full name...Kenia Santana, rather than using Kenia Mishelle (middle name), since its more professional to use name and last name, IMO smile

love all of the different designs...

Here are a picture of my business cards.

My boyfriend designed them after i choose a font. It's the same font and same colour purple on my website.

They only have one die cut corner and unfortunately the printer got the wrong corner! He also printed them glossy. On the reprint they will be on matte and a thicker card stock (i'm a sucker for a 120lb cardstock) and the die cut will be on the opposite top corner.

Those are wicked!! I have so many ideas and one had a similar "floral" design but I just can't seem to get them right on the web business card creators. I think I need to enlist my graphic designer best friend!

But I do like that one.

I LOVE the black cards with the simple info, loving yours Yisell.  Thing is, its like everyone has black cards with white/blue/pink writing on them... I'm afraid they are too much the in thing.

I have been thinking same thing with purple cards but no one seems to stock purple cards!!

I'll post as soon as I can get something done!

I'm happy with one of the many designs I've created. I don't use these much anymore I have nicer ones but I don't have the file for the design.

Well My cards aren't black, they're dark gray.  I chose those colors for my site because I too didn't want black so I just chose something dark.  I like blue because its a unisex color.  Pink is too girly, white is too boring...blue gives it the right "pop" of color without going overboard.

I made mine in photoshop and just made the background color gray.  Overnight prints will print them as you load them.  So if you load it with a purple background, it will print with a purple background.

Question:

If your a model-slash-mua and you also make custom handbags and silkscreen shirts...does all that go on a card? some? better to leave the card non-descript?

heres the card i designed in Irfanview....i dont have PS.
The black part is the front. The white side and white font on the front are supposed to be silver, so imagine silver wink
The point of the back being so empty in my mind was i could just get a pen and write whatever i want on the back..."makeup art"..."model".....but i understand in professional situations that might be kind of tacky. I pondered also upon just putting the words "model/makeup" in some fashion in the upper left of the back of the card. Opinions, suggestions, and critiques are appreciated. Thanks!

edit: i dont have a website and am not 100% on putting a MM url. So thats pretty much all my info.

Haha while I can see what you mean about the snake, I still love it because I know what you do right away unlike many of the cards I see.

This is me thinking out on a limb, and I know it'd be crazy expensive , BUT what if a MUA used a metal card with a makeup sample in it. or something representative of make up, like this thing I photoshopped real quick like.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v170/vegasect/metal-business-card.jpg
Perhaps a flat black card with a clear/translucent top that folds up to reveal a small brush and your information.

Amy Elizabeth: some suggestions: try making your email address a little more simple. You want people to remember it and the simpler the better. Also you really are limiting yourself when you list all the events that you do, try just saying special occasion MU. Also making your name and what you do the biggest focal point on your card is important. The thing is, people really only just glance at your card and you want them to remember the important thing: that you do MU.

I don't have a picture on this computer but mine are very simple.

The front is a bluey-purple, and in white text in the very middle it has my name and makeup artist. They back is just plain white and has my name, city, contact number, email and website.
simple. simple. simple.
