Do you or would you consider shooting porn?
I had a close friend who wanted an adult site, so I built the site and did all her photography. I'm sure it would have been considered porn by most, but I shot it the way I would do anything else. I didn't see it as fundamentally different than anything else. Beautiful woman, trying to light her and photograph her to the best of my ability. I would do it again. Both times I had scheduling conflicts or I would've done it. It's a paying gig, I'd take the $ and come up with a cool porn name. "Hard Rodman, still photographer." I am doing a soft porn shoot in the new year(2 girls one guy) and doing a nude shoot with a girl this weekend who also wants some "soft or maybe harder" shots with her and her hubby. No moral or artistic problem with it at all. Chris. :-) Nov 20 08 03:16 am Link Sander van der Veen wrote: Is that a main concern when shooting porn? lol Nov 20 08 03:23 am Link sure why not, i'm looking for a job anyways! Nov 20 08 03:29 am Link I have shot some porn...didn't bother me in the least, I've been published twice shooting it. Nov 20 08 03:32 am Link Yes I'd shoot it if I was asked, take the money and run. Would use another name for publication, though. Nov 20 08 03:36 am Link Rita Lovely wrote: No hardcore -- I don't want to deal with the 2257 paperwork. And I have enough trouble with the wife's ex regarding custody of the stepchild as it is... he's a Bible-beating bigot. Nov 20 08 03:47 am Link I think it's immorally. vulgarity. When you shoot erotic pictures you always think how not to be vulgar. I think its big problem to find border between art-erotic and porn. Nov 20 08 03:48 am Link I've shot both hard core and soft core. The first time around it's weird, but you get used to it. Surprisingly the actors are very professional and they strictly see it as a job. Nov 20 08 04:02 am Link I guess you can already say I do softcore, both as a model and producer. Nov 20 08 04:03 am Link I've considered it. I've even met with some women and am still in talks with a woman to help her start her own site. I would not have any problems with morals etc. It's work. But I know for sure I am not going to care for any female on male. That idea just seems a little more than I care to shoot. Woman on woman I know I will not have any problems. But throw a penis in the mix and it's a whooooooollllllllle new situation. LOL Nov 20 08 04:07 am Link I would and have shot it. It's surreal at first but it's just as technical as any other subject. I think the new movie "Zach and Miri" is very close to the tone on sets. Nov 20 08 04:18 am Link Ummm yea!!!! Most of the time, the only thing holding a straight male photographer back from shooting porn is his significant other. Take her out of the picture and that's ALL that would be shot. What straight guy wouldn't want that? JUST for jollies... if nothing else. Don't have to put your watermark or anything on the pictures... www.myspace.com/hottshotzphotography Nov 20 08 04:53 am Link HottShotz wrote: please try to speak for yourself , thanks Nov 20 08 04:58 am Link Sure, shooting is shooting. In fact, I recently took some photos for a young lady to send to her military husband (deployed) that were supposed to be risky, and turned out to be more like soft porn. Was easy on the eyes, and not as hard to keep my mind on the job at hand, as I thought it would be. Didn't really have the time to "appreciate" anything like you would imagine. Since I would like to do some Senior stuff for the High Schools in the area, I gave her the CD, and just didn't post any photos, nor did I sign them. I would do it again. KAW. Nov 20 08 05:26 am Link What, people make money from Porn? I'm in the wrong business! I guess the mods haven't woken up, lol I have no opinion about shooting porn, it's all the same to me, just more boring interactions between people, one of whom looks really good, and the other has a really large tool. Now lets talk about shooting alt/fetish/bondage, that gets me excited! Nov 20 08 05:40 am Link pay me a day rate i like and it is another job. it is also an area where i'd sell all rights without much concern Nov 20 08 05:46 am Link Shoot it .. Do it .. Tape it .. Sell it !! .. I don't see why people are so against Porn. A friend of mine actually got mad at me when she found out I took artistic nudes of other women. She said .."I hate the fact that sex sells everything" I said .. "I love how fat my wallet has gotten since" LOL !! The only downside is what my wife thinks of it (although she likes the $$ too). Nov 20 08 06:04 am Link I would if the opertunity came along. If not, no real loss. Nov 20 08 06:05 am Link I'd shoot g/g porn. Why? Because I like it. I like women, their bodies, and I can get easily inspired by their beauty and sexuality. I have no interest in seeing a guy naked and I especially have no desire to see him using his equipment. I would find that anticlimactic and unerotic as I don't find guys bodies even remotely attractive... sometimes their faces, but not their bodies. Nov 20 08 06:14 am Link A model I have talked with who does porn told me something interesting. Her "partner" in the films is actually her hubby in real life. He is well enough endowed to qualify and as she said why not get paid for what they would be doing anyway? She said that she has been offered many other big money opportunities to work with other guys but she passes on them because she has no interest in doing anyone other than hubby. Natasha Gil wrote: Nov 20 08 06:27 am Link I did it in the 90s for the $$$ but it's just not smome thing I would do now. If any one finds a porno called "The Nabor" please send me a link I don't have a copy. I'm the one in the phone seen. and i shot the jacket. Nov 20 08 06:28 am Link I would. I actually am in the process of scheduling a shoot with a female who has her own website. Act (act? Ok sure we will call it acting LOL) in them? If my wife would allow I am sure I would, well at least for two seconds ![]() Nov 20 08 06:29 am Link Nope. I wouldn't. I don't think porn is art and have no interest in it. And I wouldn't do something I think is morally or ethically wrong just for money. I have no problem with people making their own choices if they think it's right for them, but porn is not something I want to be a part of in any capacity. Nov 20 08 06:30 am Link I can make money shooting porn???????? Where do i sign up????? Nov 20 08 06:32 am Link As long as its paid job I have no issues , I will shoot one but not be in one (wife would kill me). ![]() Nov 20 08 06:34 am Link I did for a short while and got bored with it...But with the economy what it is now "HELL YA" Nov 20 08 06:36 am Link I have and I would still shoot porn if the competition had not exploded and the availability of dependable models was greater. The money at the time I was in the industry was great( averaged $300 per hour). The only thing that held me back was that the cost of shooting models in the USA made it harder to compete with the photogs that would go overseas to photograph less expensive models that were more reliable and showed up for their shoots.
