reading your profile i can only answer for myself.  actually the answer is in your own words. "oh and i always bring, two escorts to the shoots with me someone to help me with things . ( MUST NOT HAVE A ISSUE). "

Maybe it's because you have serious grammar issues...or the fact that you post run-on sentences and nobody can understand them?

Agree these would be a serious turnoffs if the OP's profile was the first introduction.

However, she mentions being ignored at group events where chances are the photographers haven't seen it yet.

I wonder if she had an intimidating "entourage" at the event?

God d*mn I must be pretty much the only short 5' model in existence who never complained about photographers passing me up because of my height.  Even when I was younger it was an issue and I knew it wink

OH NO! I think we have another case of 'missing in action OP' on MM.
This would make a tv series called MM MIA. It could be franchised like CSI and You will have models, photographers, MUAs solving the mysteries each week and we would look amazing all the time. big_smile

I never understood the aversion towards shorter models.

In most situations they are easier to work with as they fit backgrounds and props better.

IMHO, taller models are overrated.

I'm talking about the world of modeling meaning fashion/editorial/commercial
not doing it as a hobby model and sometimes getting paid.  That being said,
even with my two tattoos from the get go even serious art photographers have
paid to shoot me.  But then again I've always been in good shape and evenly
proportioned at 5' and 100 lbs of mostly muscle and not a lot of fat.  As well
I've been pretty bendy as hell and still am.  Also, I never tried to force myself
into areas I wasn't fitted to and concentrated on what I was fitted to wink

In other words, you know your limitations and you chose to work in the genres that are not limiting for you... like nudes

I'm betting that this, plus NOT demanding not just one but TWO escorts, represents the biggest reason why one is successful and the other... not.

No, not sayin that.
But from the pics on the port she does not come across as a model and she is dissing fellow models saying they are worse than her.

From day 1 I've never had an escort.  I mean should I bring one when I teach yoga, they're strangers too?!?

I've never understood this whole escort thing to shoots that are jobs, and which shoots aren't, even TF* ones are IMO.  I mean common sense will weed out the wackos and not getting over desperate for money at all costs of all sensibilities will too.

No she doesn't and neither do I.  Doesn't make one ugly, and that's not what marissa said.  So you really shouldn't put cyberwords into someone's emouth yikes

hello i have been modeling for a couple of years and i have also helped some other females model get in the doorstep of the modeling industries and they get more attention than me, but what i have noticed lately is that when i got to the modeling events that they hold every month i get dressed up and maked up nice outfit or dress or some implied nude i dont see any photographers want to shoot me they just look at me and walk away i am a petite model and having a hard time to get photoshoots or even paying gig jobs until this day i still havent been offered a paying job and that really sucks so my questions is what is it about my looks or me that doesnt catch theyr attention while other models which by the way they look worse than me are getting all the pics taken and when i ask them if they would like to shoot me they just walk away or tell me that theyr tired or theyr busy and nobody wants to be straight up with me i feel like they being unfair or even nasty with the model for not being sincere and tell them straight up that im not wat they want can any photographer please be honest and tell if i should keep going as a model or just throw the towel down on modeling cause photographers are really being a jackass and making me feel very un appreaciatted for the modeling i do. plis help

I read the first two lines and realize the sentence is not going to stop anytime soon so I loose interest to further analyze your case.

I've only ever met one single model (an art model) who absolutely required even one assistant at a session - because she was a quadriplegic with minimal use of one arm, no mobility at all for her legs.

That was about twenty years ago in the Los Angeles area.

I'd be willing to bet that there are other topics that would be discussed, but cannot unless it's moved to "Critique."
