I discovered her here on MM and scouted her for my agency - now she's with us at Natural! Size 12, 5'9", 38-30.5-43 Jul 17 11 05:53 pm Link Crystal Renn=Awesome! But remember Tyra Banks calls plus size models "Fiercly Real" (Or something like that) So thats cool too! Jul 18 11 08:57 am Link This thread is beautiful-- and it gives me hope. Jul 18 11 12:16 pm Link alot of great shots in the link to fashion gone rogue. (warning, alot of them are 18+) http://fashiongonerogue.com/belle-vere- … june-2011/ Jul 19 11 07:59 am Link It'd be interesting to see how many of the plus sized models have perfect hourglass stats. I would have thought they would me more common! When I recently found out Renn's stats I was a bit shocked at how much the stats vary. Jul 19 11 08:28 am Link Laura Fillisch wrote: Finding "perfect" hourglasses in plus is not all that easy, weight tends to distribute in one area or the other and not always in both. Many of the hippier girls have smaller busts and many of the bustier girls have smaller hips. Denise Bidot is an example of a wonderful hourglass God given figure. There are more of course, but she comes to mind. Jul 19 11 02:43 pm Link Coco LAmour wrote: i just saw her the other day when looking at Natural's board. She is gorgeous, what a fresh look! Even through both our size variations & fluxuations, we have both gained evenly. It seems strange how they would fit a model that wouldn't fit their clothes straight off the hanger, or wouldn't just pick a model with the stats they were after. Jul 21 11 06:30 am Link Laura Fillisch wrote: So then is USA sizing you are a 2 ad your mom is a 6-8. The larger one's body gets the more likely of uneven weight distribution. When I was 18 I weighed 108 lbs. as I got heavier my bust became much more disproportionate. Jul 21 11 02:28 pm Link It seems wonky that she is a US 8-10 as she is heavy healthy weight, in Australia most plus modelling agency take from an AU 10/US 6. It's all very confusing and hard to understand the norm! Two of the agencies I've been to have told me I am too fat and should go down from 52kg(114lbs) to 45kg(99lbs). I sit anywhere from 48(105) to 51(112) now. But I am nowhere near plus. Jul 22 11 01:41 am Link what? that's ridiculous... editorials with plus size models are on the rise sinca a year or so (and I do mean in non specialized magazines...). Nothing wrong with a skinny model, but I honestly don't see why they can't throw in an amazing plus size model every now and then Hey can we include some models under the standard industry height of 5'8 if they have long legs? Oh and especially for editorial that's waste up only!! If you're a skinny hourglass, you'll be an hourglass when you gain weight. I'm something between an hourglass and a pear: when I lose weight, I become more hourglassy because I lose more on my hips, when I gain weight my ass grows quicker then everything else. But in general, I tend to gain and lose weight overall. it's about shape, not size. Jul 22 11 02:24 am Link Marianne Michaela wrote: yes, I agree, as I am more proportionate when I am smaller. Most people are not absolute hourglasses. And the larger you get, fat distributes in different areas dependent on your body type. I was stating that neither of these women, mom or daughter are very large. (being a US size 2 and a 6/8) and that if they gain weight it can skew your proportions. (bust or hips may become disproportionately larger) this is why many plus models pad up on the top or bottom to match. Jul 26 11 01:39 pm Link a girl I know got signed with a major dutch agency. she didn't have any pictures at all, and no experience, so they did a shoot with her. here are the results Tess, size 14-16 EDIT I tried to upload her pictures but it didn't work, hm, strange... anyway, you can find her right here, check it out! http://www.egosmodels.com/imagebank/ego … lus+Models she has a bit of a tara lynn vibe going on, I hope she's going to do really well . I'd love to get signed with that agency, slightly jealous... but she did a really good job so she totally deserves it!
