Busy weekend.....busy month...lots of changes in progress.
But my slightly creepy and somewhat incestuous love for Dessie will never change.

I love gloating about being right about something....
Even when the results of me being right want to make
me thow all my gear off of a bridge(this case the Deleware Memorial
Bridge)and take up basket weaving as a hobby because it
reminds me how mediocre of a photographer I still am lol
Just saying

So I go over to get a soda from the Chevron station behind my office and was talking to the owner

He says that if he orders a tanker of gas today the rack rate is $3.60 a gallon his price

He further says that with the way prices are about 95% of the customers pay with a credit card that adds 4%
So his break even price is $3.74
When you put a profit on it he has to charge $3.79 a gallon

The Hess across the street is charging $3.49

He's like...I'm just fucked on this gas deal
He can't afford to pay $36,000 to fill the tank so that it just sits there
And if the price drops he's lost big time

He's shut down his pumps and is just selling beer and cigs

Hess is probably in the same situation or will be very soon for his next delivery.  Yikes!

My photo related post of the day: I went to North Tampa Photo today and bought new wipes to clean my sensor.  I also bought a pen brush...it has fiberglass bristles to clean metal battery contacts.

I got home and cleaned my sensor since it had about 3 or 4 annoying spots.  I then took the pen brush to the battery contacts of my SB800 flash.  They look brand new!  It's a beautiful thing.  smile

I might go do some nature photography soon.

Artsy Fartsy related- Anyone going to the Gasparilla Art thingie in Downtown Tampa on Saturday?  I say Saturday because there is a 70% chance of rain on Sunday.

Gas $3.58
Milk at Winn Dixie $6.25 a gal, $4.25 for 1/2 gal
Butter at Winn Dixie $4.99 was 2.25 two weeks ago
Produce is thru the roof and most is from out of country!

Its the beginning of the end.....so much for change!!! Things have changed alright!

Score a major win for Chris
Found an all you can eat japanese steakhouse/hibachi/sushi place
right next to the Golds Gym in Fredricksburg...
Expecting average sushi for a decent price..
$16.99...all you can eat...
BUT...
this is actually high quality sushi..
they garnish the stuff similar to Samurai Blue(ie,capers on top
of the nigiri...sauces)AND
they have seared tuna and the spicy tuna (noyt a roll, actual nigiri
style)with the spicy mayo sauce on top

Got 4 trays, aprox 50 pieces.....will be snacking on this tonight and
tomorrow(my icebox is really cold so no worries of it going bad

Thats because diesel fuel is almost $5 a gallon in many areas
of thr country....which means the fuel surcharges are being passed
down.....and guess who is getting the double whammy...

But hey....lets go make threads about how we are making $$
on the price of oil. like some fuckwads are on here.....

Welcome to world of asshat speculators.. As I said before, the masses should NOT be allowed to do what they're doing with oil...  It effects TOO many things..  So, once again, greed takes precedence over what's good for the country..
