This is one of my favorites, so far. Every time I work on an image, it's always a new learning experience. And I try and do something different each time to make myself stretch my skills. Most of my inspiration comes from figuring out, or inventing, a "backstory". What really started my down the fantasy path in this one was the door medallion over her shoulder ... it was too prominent to be plain and I "saw" the face in it before I even started. I replaced the cigarette smoke, changed her eyes, manipulated the color in several ways and added her little companion.

STL-After-Dark wrote: Nice work, I'll bet this one took some time! probably a collective of around 5-6 hours over the course of 3 days. alot of hand painting, towards the end i got impatient and decided not to attempt the ears >< I think she kind of turned out more like a blue lion lady than an Na'vi but eh it was my first attempt at something like this so i think it turned out decent
