The whole story seems fishy. Why would police come to the house at 4AM with news of the photo(s)?  There are no detectives on duty then. Why would a squad car with beat cops wake people up at 4AM with that kind of news?  Doesn't make sense. Why would someone with child porn on their Facebook page not be visited by the police? Doesn't make sense.

You're right, something does not add up. Definitely more to this story.

Since you decided to ignore my reply earlier in the thread, and you felt the need to post this ridiculousness here again, I do believe my earlier reply deserves to be repeated:

Are you serious?

Unless I missed something somewhere, the tragedy of this young woman taking her own life has NOTHING to do with this site. Considering your thread the other day about you being tired of everyone on here picking on you and you giving a left-handed apology, it is pretty ridiculous that you are trying to turn this tragedy into YOUR cause.

Gotta be fucking kidding me....

why does it have to be explicitly stated in order for people to believe that gianantonio would have anything but compassion. there is nothing wrong with being skeptical, its part of what gets answers.

Why? Why. Why do you have to be skeptical? Why can't the girl just get the sympathy she deserves, not even in death. I don't know what happy planet you live on but every teenage girl doesn't talk to their parents. I don't understand why people are so shocked when I say I haven't talked to my mom in a few days. It's not abnormal. &some people who have problems that big Don't discuss them with their parents UNTIL something Needs to happen. Like switching of schools. And then we just drop it. Like nothing ever happened. Even if its still going on. &maybe that's absolutely the moms fault for not paying enough attention and maybe her kid resented her for that but you can't completely blame the mother.

Why do I have to be skeptical?  Maybe it's genetics.

Okay. Police (apparently) show up at the dad's house at 4AM and the dad doesn't follow up on what's going on?  Seriously, that sounds normal for you?  Her dad finds her in a ditch, beat up, and that doesn't spark some inquiry on his part?

Grieving, guilty, shocked, confused, plotting or carrying out murders&unhappy police were interrupting that... There's a few reasons parents of a 15 who just killed themself would behave less than normal..

And I didn't ask why the dad wasn't cooperating...  I was asking why her parents weren't acting like parents and taking care of their daughter who was being bullied.

I would say if there is one thing to be done it would be to lobby for continued improvements to mental health services.  Progress has been made but there are still some serious shortcomings.  Some of these are inherit to the overall lack of understanding of mental health. We're still very much in the "vapours" stages of diagnosis for some areas which means that there is often no clear treatment. Stacked on top of this are issues of access, funding etc.  If a kid is addicted to heroine we don't expect the parents to be able to deal with it alone.  We don't expect the teachers to solve the problem.  We don't blame parents for being unable to treat their kid's leukemia.
SNIP

You touched on some great things here. Our government and world does not understand these things UNLESS it effects someone directly related to them. If someone in power has a relative who suffers and is close with them, they will then become an activist for the cause. If people arent exposed to things, they have no sensitivity.

There are tons of programs out there for people who have mental illness, and suicide hotlines for those who are in pain, but will a human answer?  Will an individual get the RIGHT care they need to begin their healing process? The workers IN the field get paid shit, but good benefits. So there's that. The burn out rate is rediculous, and it's understandable because in order to survive through hearing all the cruelty of the world you have to be strong. In my opinion, if you are to work in the field of helping others, it should be from a genuine place. You should want to help others, and it should make you feel better to help others. Most people that work out there dont care enough and there fore dont give enough. People are selfish.

The government does not want to help out the programs enough to supply enough support. Even if they did, society and cultures have placed shame on being emotionally "sick" or "weak". I wish that girl would have been taught to handle the situation different. Someone should have told her it was ok to screw up, and to stand up for herself, to love her body, and live with it. Im sure there were other girls who were showing there tits and doing much worse. She could have become a motivational speaker. Channeled her energy elsewhere. No one sat her down and talked with her. (that it seems) I would have had a school assembly. hat man who shared her pictured would be in jail. Its called stalking. Parents need to be more "real" with their kids so their kids feel more open about talking to them. Shit like this should not happen on so many levels.

I repeat this because no one paid any mind to this important message. For everyone up in arms about this.......... what can YOU do to make a difference? what will YOU do? Or will you just bitch and moan in a thread about it? Just some food for thought. WE are the vessels for change. You guys can bicker about unimportant things all you want, but the fact of the matter is that people need help and arent getting it. The world extends larger than ourselves. Even saying "thank you" to someone can brighten their day. You never know what kind of day they have had. For the 20 people that blow you off, its amazing to hear a your welcome back and get a genuine smile from someone. Not too many of those left.               end rant/

Moral of the story:

1. Never flash to strangers on the internet
2. Learn to fight back and be strong.

I feel really sorry for the little girl, I mean Jesus Christ, all she ever wanted was to make some friends and meet new people and she got this. God, that is the scum of society right there.

I was thinking no. 1 & 2 the whole way through.
What is sad though, is not everyone is capable of 'fighting back'.

Some people don't know how, some it's just not in their nature and some don't have the tools to do so.

Odd how many women not much older than she have no problem wanting to show their breasts.

What is extremely odd to me is how NO ONE took down that boob FB page.
Then again, if the girl literally had NO friends and her parents were not doing anything about her psychological health, it wouldn't surprise me.

There is much to the story no one is privy to, that is for sure.

Not trolling.

A 16 yr old can't have a relevant opinion about what they would do if they were an adult if they haven't reached adulthood.

It's not the first time she has been called out for opinions that her age and experience can't substantiate.

Yes, and I am in the process of writing about the relationship of hatred that the terrorists who shot 14 year old Malala Yousafzai in the head have to do with the same mentality of those who terrorized this 15 year old.

To terrorize someone, be it through words, intimidation, threats or physical violence is evil and wrong!   The bullies who terrorized Amanda Todd are no better than the terrorist who shot Malala Yousafzai in the head.  The only difference is that one encouraged and provoked a child to kill herself, and the other was attacked because she stood up to the terrorist (bullies!)

I disagree with you!  Of course a 16 year old can have a "relevant opinion!"   There are MANY things of which all of us have never experienced, yet we all have relevant opinions of.   You are not thinking logically in my opinion.

You and I never saw her face until she killed herself, but I am being honest what I say it does not matter to me.  Perhaps to you, it does, but not everyone is of the same opinion.  You are correct that to many, she is "attractive" and it matters to them.  It could also be why she was the target of the sexual predators that manipulated her into doing humiliating things to herself.  She was only wanting to be loved!
