I think I've seen it before. Did we have contact? If you're coming to Hamburg we should...

You have a lot of about average images. Maybe you need to sort out much, as there are also better ones.

Overall, besides the retouching issues you need to sort out some pictures and rearrange a bit.

Mike Williams Photo wrote: I'm in. From your profile: "I photograph a variety of genres." Yes, and it shows. Maybe you need to get a little more specialised, you're not above average right now. You're retouching is even bad. "I'm mature, professional and experienced in a variety of styles" (from you profile again) Sorry, but THIS does not show. You need to work much harder on your photography and get a decent workshop in retouching (or outsource this).

Your outdoor-work needs improvement though. It's clearly not on the same level as your studio work (especially lighting-wise).

That's an excellent question for the curious and nonjudgmental. A few of the photos I promised to only display on my portfolio and so the reason is that I'm keeping my word to a friend. Posting the link and not the thumb would both be functional and my preference. Thank you.

Your port looks like one of a small area commercial portrait photographer (I hope that's the right expression - I'm not a native speaker). You should reach for a little higher. Try something more bold, more creative, more exciting. Right on the money - and I agree fully

I'll pick your best image out of your port (if I can find it) and maybe give an overall critique if I feel in the mood for it (and it seems important). But BE AWARE: Please look at my port first and decide if you find me worthy and fitting of critique. I tend to be harsh and very picky! I DO find you worthy! So lets hear the German critique ... **shivers in trepidation**

The only thing I can add is: I would improve the skin retouch on some of the images. But that's highly subjective, of course.

I overall like your port, you use lighting properly, your retouch is not off, nice llamas... Two things maybe: 1. Try getting better poses. Either by picking llamas that are more sure about good posing or maybe by giving better directions (though of course posing is work of the llama in the end). 2. Try to get a little more narrative, a little more creative, a bit more themes. Get a bit farther away from the simple concept of "portrait-like" shots.

You definately need more practice, one can tell from your port. You need to get more secure and need to work on posing. Get definately lost of your avatar at least. I can't say much more than do more, get more, get better (shoots/pictures). Most of your pictures lacks something in at least one aspect.

Work mainly on your facial expression. And look for photographers who are more skilled in lighting. There are some hints, but in most of your pictures the lighting is at least boring.

Good pictures, you know and care about lighting. Maybe dial it down a LITTLE bit at outdoor shots. Remember to also look for COLOR of lighting (not referring to the beach album). What I kind of miss in your pictures is a spark in the eyes of your models. Maybe you need to get a better motivator and/or work on facial expressions of your models.
