I doubt I'd ever become a "pay only model"
But I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Honestly, you need to try and replace your entire portfolio.  You should be paying photographers.  Really really good ones though obviously.

I really like this thread idea! Too many models out there think a pretty face qualifies for premium rates. However, I think they know who they are and are smart enough to steer clear from playing hmm

But I've also seen some photogs that can be said the same of them!

No mention of paid work in your profile.

If there was, you'd be disappointed with my answer.

I'd totally work with you -- but you have the right attitude.  You shouldn't expect to be a "pay only model."

Your web site has a lot of good stuff on it, more so than your profile here.

I definitely think you deserve to be paid often.  I wouldn't pay you (I don't ever pay models), but I would work with you and the results would make the universe collapse.  So basically I don't think you should be paid with no exceptions.  I think you should still be working with top shelf photographers if the opportunity arises.

Basically I think you're doing an excellent job with the look you have.

You're a great "MM model" -- but if you expect to be paid or to make a career out of this in any form, I'd say you're hitting the good crack.

I too expected all of the pseudo [online] celebrity traveling models to stay away from this thread.  Or they just aren't visiting the forums, which I can understand, as I rarely check here either.

But out of curiosity, if I ever did develop that kind of attitude
Would I be crackin'?

Lots of really good stuff in your portfolio, and you are great for the style you're going for.  I don't think a career is a good plan, but getting paid is totally reasonable for what you're doing.  Far from crackin.

Absolutely.  But I don't work with anyone under 18 through this site.

For what it's worth, you are probably the most deserving to get paid out of anyone yet.  smile

You're definitely in the top .005% of MM models in my opinion.  Now don't get cocky, because with how many models there are on here, that does include quite a bit -- but you are definitely someone I'd feel lucky to have an opportunity to work with.

Honestly, I'd never pay you, but I might buy you a bagel or something.   Don't even think for a SECOND I'd be covering the cream cheese.

You totally deserve to be paid 95% of the time.  Even if 100%, and you turned down non paid opportunities with exceptional photographers, I still would say you're not crackin.

No,I never touch the stuff. Actually,I model, and, shoot for fun. Also,to try an express an idea,or,emotion. I like to work, and, try both sides of lens. Looking through both sides of the glass. You have a better understanding. That's my thoughts on it.

For me this is a hobby now (Hence the 'paid assignments only') as after graduating I landed some incredible jobs in the Fashion industry as a stylist where I have worked with some amazing photographers, with an ad featured in Vogue (from a blue chip company).

You said you were open to criticism as well... I think you need to rethink your retouching, your portraits look as if they were once great but fell victim to the over retouched look of Model Mayhem, maybe if you paid some agency standard models you would not have to cheapen your work with this look. With that being said I do not think that you are in a position to be so judgmental.

Feel free to criticize my portfolio, as I am sure you will

This is a nice little psychological burrito of passive aggressiveness and insecurity.

Cute.  Thanks for the laughs.
