Does anyone know how I can get this look from a typical clean studio shot that  has a white background?



I tried gradient map with a red gradient set to soft light but it gives the skin tone a very bad look.

There are many ways to create similar effect. One of the simplest ones would be to play with white balance. You can also try your gradient map in color mode. But this image in particular seems to have already a lot of red in the original scene, so not all of it is due to color grading. The effect rather enhances it.
