I "met" her when she asked about nomination to this competition, and was referred to "The List" photographers in her area. I was planning a trip to LA a few weeks later so I contacted her and offered to shoot with her when I was in town. I'm glad that I did! Sparrow is a genuine delight with a sense for fashion and a very polished, classy presentation. She probably won't qualify as a "newbie" much longer. Sep 03 10 10:41 pm Link Below is my submission for the week of September 6. Model: MM#1754276 Brittany Morgan. I think I have the honor of being her first photographer. In spite of that, she came to the shoot well prepared, had inexhaustible bag of poses, moved from one pose to another fluidly and confidently, behaved respectfully, was eager, and was simply fun to work with. She has naturally baby smooth skin; for the shoot with me she applied only mascara, but I can see she is an MUA's dream canvas that can be painted in so many ways. She can look totally innocent yet subtly seductive, pouty, to being very expressive. Her theatrical training allows her to emote well, beyond just "pretty" images. As of now, Brittany's port here is mostly empty, precisely because she is a brand newbie and only 16. Nevertheless, it is easy to see that she is destined to go far. Sep 05 10 08:32 am Link For consideration as Newbie Model of the Week my entry: Tina Kay https://www.modelmayhem.com/1726466 First allow me to say our first shoot was postponed due to rain. Some would probably consider that a bad omen, I've evidence here to the contrary and I hope you agree the extended wait was well worth it. This young lady was prompt and on time on both occasions and brought an energy I haven't seen in some time.  But don't let that look fool you, she's comes well armed with a plethora of attitude that varies as seen in her somber mood here.  Mastering an obvious control of mood swings is not an easy thing to do, but here again, the depth of her control from one genre to another goes beyond expectation.  Once in the groove of things mastery of the pose is exceptional with Tina Kay as seen here.  And to round it all off, her artistic expression goes beyond the pale and who could deny she works the lens rather well.  For your consideration as Newbie Model of the Week, Tina Kay. I very seldom invite people that I meet on the street to do a photo shoot, but Stacia's smile as I was leaving pushed me over the edge and I gave her my card. Two weeks later, she contacted me about shooting a set. I only wish that she lived closer to San Francisco; she's already getting lots of attention from Reno area photographers! Maria and I met some time ago and I had always thought she would have made a great model. I finally coaxed her into a shoot and she took on so quickly it was amazing. She has the ability right from the get go to perform and bring 100% each pose. We've been working together to build her port and get her ready and she just recently was hired to work a fashion show and blew away her peers in walk and style. She may be a tiny girl, but what she lacks in physical height she packs in physical punch. Nicole came to me by way of Facebook and shot my "Shirt and High Heels" Series. This was her very first shoot and I was pleasantly surprised at her poise and confidence. After I looked at the images from our session, I suggested she consider creating a profile on Model Mayhem. I think she made the right decision and I'm glad I got the chance to shoot her first.
