They bother you enough to post this thread in two forums... geeze

Ok... no more wings, motorcycles & bikinis, railroad tracks, girls with guns, girls with swords & girls with guns & swords.

last but not least...
girls with guns and swords wearing bikinis while riding down railroad tracks on a motorcycle. BTW... the bike is a Harley so there's the wings (thought I forgot about them eh)!!!

I'm sure I've left some out but these are the ones that come to mind from the endless threads of what people hate smile

i agree it was an amazing and beautiful idea at first.. but.. it's becoming terribly and sadly overdone.

It's disapointing because i love the idea but it's everwhere now..

Since my wing shot is a fairy instead of an angel, and since it is soooo old ( done with Photoshop version 1.0!!!  no layers! ) that it could conceivably  be the first wing pic on the web...i think you should cut me some slack   smile

My model wanted to pose in Angel wings as a gift to her Aunt who was ill.

If we start picking on Angel wings, where will it stop when someone gets tired of corsetts or hats or something else seen in a lot of photos.

If you don't like them, don't shoot them. Some people like wings, some don't.
There are so many cliches in photography. Bottom line....if someone wants, is
willing to pay for it, then shoot it.

I think wings are OK when shooting at the airport.

They also look great on birds, ducks, chickens, turkeys, bees, wasps etc. They look dumb on aligators because it makes them look like dragons.

I think butt shots and legs-spread shots are WAAAAAY tackier than angel wings, and I see a LOT more of those on here... I mean, if she's just standing there and you can see her butt, fine. But when she's bending over with her legs spread and the main focal point of the shot is her asshole, that's just tacky. There are some photogs and models on here whose entire ports consist of tacky crap like that. So far I haven't seen a single port composed entirely of angel wing shots.

I don't mind making fun of angel wings but when someone starts in about the bent over spread asshole and butt shots, they have crossed the line.

Why? How is that crossing the line? TAKING those pictures crosses the line. Unless you are a porn producer.

Ahh...joking with you (not at all being serious).
joke  (jok)
noun
a thing that someone says to cause amusment or laughter, esp. A story with a funny punchline:
she was in a mood to tell jokes.

I guess I should go back to joke school, sorry.

Earth to Alexis:  Carlo was being sarcastic

I agree with the OP-Angel Wings on models are tackier than  someone advertising in front of KFC in a chicken suit.

Wings in a picture only look good on Icarus.

Icarus and Daedalus were the best models with wings:

Icarus was foolish.

Perhaps you might want to send a note to MarketingWeek, as they nominated Diesel's Heaven (multimillion dollar) advertising campaign as campaign of the month for October 2006--and it's based on angel wings.

Sorry guys, I have to say that if you can use angel wings in a unique way then it doesn't matter if everyone thinks it's cliche. I think if you can create a beautiful photo by way of light, texture, composition, etc, and the girl is also wearing angel wings, I don't the entire photo has to be damned just because a few people think that wings are overdone. An amazing photograph is an amazing photograph wings or no wings.
