Have you been aroused by Nude Models
It happens. Mar 22 07 11:46 pm Link The only thing about a nude model that arouses me is if she shows up on time, ready to work, conducts herself in a professional manner and is serious about what she does. If you get your thrills by working with nude models, maybe a career change is in order, sell your camera and take the check to the bank and cash it for a pile of $1 bills....go to the strip club instead. Mar 22 07 11:48 pm Link Interesting posts... Personally, anyone who says they have never been aroused may be dead...or they may have lost their edge. The art is not to show it. I usually don't get aroused during the shoot. On the rare occassion that I have, I just didn't show it. Stay busy and concentrate on what I needed to do. Afterall, I am always telling the model that her job is to seduce the camera...and I am attached to that camera. We are human, and human nature says we are genetically encoded for that arousal. If not, we could skip foreplay altogether. That isn't saying that we aren't professionals, or that we are making "porn" as someone has so convieniently deluded himself into believing. Read some of the stories by guys like Earl Miller and the other playboy/penthouse photographers. Do you think they are impervious to the beauty of the human form? If they're not, then what makes anyone think we would be. If you can't seduce and excite the photographer (mentally), then you aren't going to seduce the viewer. People can tell if you are into the shot or just a "piece of meat" being used by the photographer to get a picture. I go to great lengths to find the right girl for the right shot...do you think I would bother if I knew it would be subpar? Mar 24 07 05:32 am Link I have been aroused by one of my nude models. Of course, he's my boyfriend, but still! Mar 24 07 09:37 am Link Plastercasting wrote: So you're saying my nudity wouldn't turn you on? But going back to the OP, I think posing a question like that on an open forum really isn't appropriate and lacks good judgment. But then again that's life and we all slip up from time to time so please don't flame the OP (or me) too much. I think a question like this would be more appropriate posed to a group of photographers in a discussion offline. Mar 24 07 10:08 am Link interesting... i think its natural.... Mar 24 07 01:16 pm Link Aroused? No, ...a great energy and appreciating that some one has sex appeal? Yes Have I been turned on? No ...My mind set just isnt there. I can honestly say that as long as I am shooting it just doesent get that personal. I am sure it happens, and it may very well happen. If it does, I may have t date the gal, because it means she is striking a chord that goes deeper than sex. Mar 24 07 01:22 pm Link I become nervous and hope that the shoot is successful...I'm also concerned about the look of the photo and try to make it more artistic so it doesn't seem pornographic. I feel when it comes to nudes theres such a thin line between artistic and erotic...pornographic. Then of course there's that whole "eye of the beholder" thing. To some it's artistic...erotic and to others it's pornographic. To anwer the question...NO...I'm not aroused. Mar 24 07 01:33 pm Link Maybe it's just me, but quite a few of these posts insisting that no arousal occurs remind me of the words of Shakespeare when he said, with apologies, "The [photographer] doth protest too much, methinks." Mar 24 07 02:14 pm Link i'm sorry, but any photographer here that is discussing whether or not they get "boners" or get "arroused" during shoots needs to reconsider their status as PROFESSIONALS! Not in any industry, entertainment or modeling alike, should one in a position such as ours, discuss (especially to the model!!!) whether or not you get turned on or not. this is a conversation meant to be had in private or not had at all. although I agree it is normal to be turned on, it is NOT okay to let those feelings peak their ugly heads out in a professional setting such as a photoshoot. i realize their is no written moral code of ethics or behavior for photographers, but postings like this make me realize their should be, and if anything, it should be understood. even in the business world, when a pretty girl wearing skimpy clothing shows up at the office or work place it is not okay to act on those feelings!! before any other "professional photographers" start talking about their hard-ons they get, please reconsider to save yourself the embarassment. It's how you BEHAVE and the respect with which you treat the model that counts. Professionalism and respect for the project should override the physical reaction of arousal. Some of them are very life like. You can Touch, change clothes, twist arm, will stay steady, hold a pose etc. For Lingerie and swim wear only. If you are turned on by a Mannequin then you are a whacko . See a shrink.
