Here's one more -

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/101017/07/4cbb055565950.jpg

This was shot under a canopy of an old rail station, the full moon night sky was edited in. The blue color was produced by a filter over my flash ... the shot didn't come out as good as I would have liked, blue light seems to be hard to capture with any kind of quality contrast ... the flatness of the model is what I like the least about the photo, but I'm working on my technique, I'm bound to improve with time.

Wow some of you guys do such amazing work. I love pictures when it looks like it hasn't been edited at all but everything is gorgeous. I often wonder if some of my images look too unnatural when I'm finished editing them. I could never show you a before of one of my own pictures (hah) but all the images in my port have been edited by me.

This is Definitely NOT MY BEST EDIT!
But with this picture I've practiced sooo many things
[clean skin, muggy skin, fantasy eyes, extraction, etc..]
That I have a special attachment to it! hehe
I'll post my "best edit" after I think which one is it

What a great thread! I've definitely picked up some new favorite MMers to keep an eye on. Such talent!

Here's my edit. I know it isn't perfect but it's the most complex piece of done to date so I'm pretty proud of it. I have some photos from my Prince of Persia shoot of me on green screen that the photographer gave me to practice with and I'm looking forward to the challenge after doing this. smile

What are the finer points of the edit, what did you do with it?

The longer this thread stays open the better the work gets.  I've got one, it's been one of my longest edits to date:

[img]http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/18689301[\img]

The girl was shot on a white background. A lot of work and hours went into this one. Developing the hinges and placing them was quite a bit of trail and error. It was really a question of: what is enough. The 3D flying box: I saw something very similar done by a 3D artist and decided to try and do it in photoshop. The cutout around the hair is not all there yet, but I'll get there.

Keep them coming. For one who's idea of retouch is what I can tweak in Lightroom this is fun and impressive to follow.
