The fan I was using is so powerful it would have ripped my seamless to shreads. Great transformation. Mar 17 11 03:18 pm Link I've been experimenting with 'minimalism' lately: 18+ https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/1 … 9e50a1.jpg I used "Find Edges" and cleaned up the debris that the filter produces, then replaced color to get the coloration changes. To represent a concept with even less context, I again used "Find Edges" and kept going with the cleanup until I had a single line. I found that I had to thicken the line to have it show up clearly - I did that by reproducing the image with a lateral offset and then collapsed the layers into one. https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/1 … 8a749d.jpg I was a little surprised to find that the image kind of "disappeared" when printed, I got around that by using the black image border. I did not replace any skin here, it's basically all just d&b. Mar 22 11 07:07 pm Link Not my best, but one of my favourite Mar 23 11 07:52 pm Link Mar 24 11 08:05 am Link I'm relatively new to retouching, but here's my latest. SOOC Retouched to look a bit like it's from the movie 300 I would like pointers to what I can improve on, here and on the rest of my port if anyone wishes to help me improve. Mar 26 11 10:09 am Link https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/6798118 18+ Let's see - he was only half painted white, the make up was streaky, and the eyes were obviously done, the background removed completely, his stubble removed from his head, and his head re-shaped to look normal (my brother has a funny shaped head). I'm especially proud of the brush strokes on the bottom part since that part had been unpainted. Mar 26 11 10:25 am Link These two are my favourite Mar 26 11 11:03 am Link Being a relative newcomer, I have come to realize that in order to take an image to the next level, some sort of retouching is necessary (in most cases). Even in the days of film, photographers were in the darkroom, dodging, burning and doing other things to enhance their photos. My wife got me CS5 for Christmas and I am really making a concentrated effort to learn this program as well as picking up retouching tips here and there and experimenting with them. For the image below, I used a technique that I learned from Christy at www.christyschuler.com as well as another from Dean at www.proglamour.com. I'm pretty excited as I can see my images getting better and better as I become more proficient in photoshop. I made the frame work to make it rain. She was a pro model as well. Tap water temperature in sixty degree weather. She isn't as wet yet in this photo, but she gets soaked and even changed her outfit once.
